While trailing 106-105 with 15 seconds left in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals, an offensive foul was called on DeMarcus Cousins, giving the Toronto Raptors one last chance to end the series.
Kawhi Leonard was isolated on Klay Thompson beyond the three point line, but after Andre Iguodala came up to help on a double team, Leonard was forced to pass the ball to Fred VanVleet who was promptly jumped by Shaun Livingston.
VanVleet had no choice but to dish the ball out to Kyle Lowry in the corner with two seconds left, and the point guard fired up a potential game-winning buzzer-beater while Draymond Green closed in.
Green appeared to get his fingertips on the ball, and the shot went off the side of the backboard and never had a chance of going anywhere near the iron.
The shot was widely panned on social media, with many finding appropriate GIFs to compare the shot to.
Because Lowry missed, the series will head back to Oracle Arena for Game 6 on Thursday night.
