Clothing Roundup: Hitting the roads and trails with Santini, Handup, Endura, and Kitsbow
Summer is here and the weather is hot! This week’s clothing roundup has a little bit of everything to keep you cool on the roads and mountains. Check out what’s new below…
The Santini Volo kit is pro level gear for women
The Santini Volo kit was created in collaboration with Lizzie Deignan, the 2015 Road World Champion. The kit includes a jersey and bibs that are made with the same high-end material their pro teams ride. They also offer a race fit that provides aerodynamic performance and comfort.
The jersey has breathable, Rudy, fabric on the front, sides and back pockets. Body Fit fabrics are used on the sleeves and back panel for aerodynamics. And the collar has a petal shape to prevent irritation on the neck. The 100g Italian made jersey comes in light blue, navy blue, red and pink and retails for $105 USD. Sizes include XXS – XXXL.
Their Volo bibs offer a compressive Thunderbike Power fabric on the straps that claim to alleviate muscle fatigue and retain elasticity over time. Its bottoms get an aerodynamic cut with grippers around the thigh cuffs and a C3Women chamois that offers comfort for up to seven hours. The $175 Volo bibs are available in XXS – XXXL and come in black and navy blue.
Going fast with the Santini Genio Kit & Skinsuit
The Santini Genio collection is designed with professional performance in mind for racers and weekend warriors. Similar to the Volo kit, the Genio offers pro-level aerodynamics and breathability with comfort that will please pros and amateurs. The collection was designed in collaboration with the World Tour Trek-Segafredo team.
Their Genio skinsuit offers a light and breathable build with race-fit aerodynamics thanks to the Rudy performance fabric on the front and back panels. Its sleeves get a raw finish with no cuffs, and the front zipper starts at the torso for easy in-and-out. The skinsuit’s bottoms are a Thunderbike Power fabric that offers mild compression, and a C3 chamois for added comfort in the saddle. Its top and bottom are stitched at the back which allows for the front to fully open. The $260 Genio skinsuit is available in light blue, orange, red, and white colors, and comes in sizes XS – 4XL.
The Genio jersey gets their ultra-light Prey fabric for breathability on the front panel, and a micromesh material on the back, sleeves, and collar. The torso and sleeves are heat treated to avoid hems and elastics. There are 3 pockets on the back along with a strip of grippers. The $185 Genio jersey comes in green and black colors and is available in sizes XS – 4XL.
Their Genio bib shorts get a compressive fabric on their bottoms. While their straps are made from an ultra-soft elastic which offers comfort for a wider range of rider heights. Integrated into the bottoms is their C3 chamois with 3D density. They claim this chamois offers a soft and breathable pad with antibacterial microfiber. The $250 Genio bibs are only available in black and come in sizes XS – 4XL.
