Bills Mafia unites to donate in honor of Pancho Billa
The Buffalo Bills community known as Bills Mafia has struck once again, this time in honor of their late friend Ezra Castro.
Better known as Pancho Billa, the lifetime Bills fan from Texas who became a face of the fan base in recent years passed away earlier this week. He was 39 and battled stage four cancer.
Prior to his battle turning for the worse, Castro confided some wishes in a former Buffalo newscaster-turned-Texan, Jonah Javad. Castro told Javad in light of his potential death one day, he wanted Bills Mafia to donate as they often do. In this case, Castro’s wishes were in the form of school supplies for children.
Del Reid, one of the founding members of Bills Mafia, announced their the plan would be carried out on Wednesday via Twitter:
Naturally based on the generosity of Bills Mafia, the loot is rolling in. Reid updated the fund on Thursday morning and Bills Mafia already sent in more than $30,000 to the cause.
And per usual, expect that to rise. To do your part, click here to donate to The Teacher’s Desk.
