The connection between theme park food and Disney merchandise reaches a higher level. We have long gone from the days of t-shirts praising turkey legs.
Disney has a new line called D-Lish in stores. It has a handful of heavy hitter – Dole Whip, Mickey Bars, Churros – presented in a non-traditional way as a souvenir. Sometimes the company uses food packaging for normal equipment, such as cupcake-style socks or T-shirts in pizza boxes.
Here are some eye-catching food products that we noticed on a trip to Disney Springs.
We start with a proven but real item, the mouse ear headband, this time crowned with pink donuts. It's more cartoonish than the latest trenders with shiny sequins, but we appreciate more flavor. (There is no calorie count for the ears, but they cost $ 27.99.)
The usefulness of a zippered ice bar escapes us. Maybe you could carry this in your wallet, although its capacity is low. My driver's license barely fits in the length. But fashion is a victim and at least you have no ugly chocolate residue in the corners of your mouth. ($ 19.99)
The Dole Whip fever continues on many fronts, including a fridge magnet, a large drinking vessel, a baseball cap, and pillows. We make the leap here, pineapple, the first-class Dole Whip flavor, is a symbol of friendship, so the creamy desert is suitable for a welcome mat. ($ 34.99)
Momma always said "Do not play with your food", but this point seems to contradict her idea. It's a selection of toys that looks good enough to eat, but let's not do that, kids. ($ 17.99)
Finally, a more subtle outcry appears in this polo shirt. It contains small icons of Disney snacks, classically and evenly distributed. In addition to the Mickey bars, there are popcorn, turkey legs, pretzels, drinks and much more. You could sneak this for the casual Friday of your office ($ 39.99)
Hey fashionistas! I wanted to write a post today on the outfits I wore in Disney. I recently went to Disney and got back just three days ago. I was elated to have been able to go there for my 21st Birthday as a present. I wanted to share what I wore in Disney! Magic […]
Kid 1 is at that annoying stage in childhood when he could, and would, listen to the same stories over and over and over again. The only things preventing him from listening to them 24/7 are the fact that there is no device to play his stories in his bedroom while he sleeps, and the […]
Disney just dropped the overhaul bombshell in terms of news, for one of the biggest expansions they have ever done for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge coming towards Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. In this first part as we explore the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu and let’s check in with the food and beverage, […]
Hey y’all it’s me again, you’re blogging friend who keeps promising to consistently blog but never follows through. Oops. I know I said I’d start blogging about my layovers and funny things that happen on the plane, but obviously I didn’t. To be completely honest I haven’t really had too many exciting layovers lately. Spoiler […]
The Dopey Difficulty includes a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon and a full marathon. The cost to run the Dopey Difficulty at Walt Disney World this year was $560. Five hundred and sixty dollars. I kid you not. I think you might look at it in this manner, it does consist of 4 races […]
Recently, my siblings and I got together for our annual Sibling Sabbatical—aka SibSab—a time when just the four of us get together to enjoy each other’s company and to catch up on what’s been going on in our lives and those of our families over the past year. We’ve been doing this since the year after […]
I don’t know about you, but I am a self-diagnosed Over Packer when it comes to vacations. Especially when we go to Disney World. You don’t know what the weather is going to do because it’s Florida and anything is possible at any moment down there. You also don’t know how much your feet will […]
