The connection between theme park food and Disney merchandise reaches a higher level. We have long gone from the days of t-shirts praising turkey legs.
Disney has a new line called D-Lish in stores. It has a handful of heavy hitter – Dole Whip, Mickey Bars, Churros – presented in a non-traditional way as a souvenir. Sometimes the company uses food packaging for normal equipment, such as cupcake-style socks or T-shirts in pizza boxes.
Here are some eye-catching food products that we noticed on a trip to Disney Springs.
We start with a proven but real item, the mouse ear headband, this time crowned with pink donuts. It's more cartoonish than the latest trenders with shiny sequins, but we appreciate more flavor. (There is no calorie count for the ears, but they cost $ 27.99.)
The usefulness of a zippered ice bar escapes us. Maybe you could carry this in your wallet, although its capacity is low. My driver's license barely fits in the length. But fashion is a victim and at least you have no ugly chocolate residue in the corners of your mouth. ($ 19.99)
The Dole Whip fever continues on many fronts, including a fridge magnet, a large drinking vessel, a baseball cap, and pillows. We make the leap here, pineapple, the first-class Dole Whip flavor, is a symbol of friendship, so the creamy desert is suitable for a welcome mat. ($ 34.99)
Momma always said "Do not play with your food", but this point seems to contradict her idea. It's a selection of toys that looks good enough to eat, but let's not do that, kids. ($ 17.99)
Finally, a more subtle outcry appears in this polo shirt. It contains small icons of Disney snacks, classically and evenly distributed. In addition to the Mickey bars, there are popcorn, turkey legs, pretzels, drinks and much more. You could sneak this for the casual Friday of your office ($ 39.99)
Happy Monday to my delightful squad! I have been excited for months to bring you this particular Mom That Inspires and the day has finally come!! When I started writing this series my immediate thought was that I hoped to someday share today’s incredible mom with you. Grab your cup of coffee ladies and settle […]
Our first trip to a Disney park was rotten before we even reached the Disney grounds. From long waits in hot garages to an unplanned trip to the pediatric hospital, L.A. had left us not feeling the happy of the “happiest place on Earth” when we first pulled into the Disneyland Resort. After checking into […]
Last week I had the chance to present my first breakout session at a national ed conference! I presented Game Inspired Designs and Blended Learning at the Future of Ed Tech Conference (FETC) which just happens to be held in Orlando, FL every year. Since Orlando also happens to be home of the most Magical […]
Do teenagers still enjoy the Magic Kingdom? Is there enough for teenagers to enjoy there? Do they still “get the magic”? These are questions which are often asked before planning a holiday to Walt Disney World. It is of course, down to personal preference, and choice. We recognise that what works for some families will […]
Back in January, my Mum’s cousin and her family asked me if I would be up for joining them on a holiday to Florida in August, and naturally I said ‘yes please!’ My Mum’s side of the family and I are very similar and we’ve always got on really well, so I knew instantly that […]
