Dundee United keen on move for Luciano Nequecaur if they win promotion
DUNDEE UNITED are keen on a move for Luciano Nequecaur if they win promotion back to the Premiership.
The Argentinian striker – who previously spent time in Scotland with Stranraer – currently plays for Mexican side Oaxaca.
And his agent, Juan Arandilla, has revealed the Tannadice club has already been in touch about their interest in him.
But Nequecaur’s potential return to Scotland to play for Robbie Neilson’s side hinges on their return to the top flight.
Speaking to Football Scotland, Arandilla said: “The interest comes via Dundee United sporting director Tony Ashgar, who was responsible for Luciano’s move to Stranraer and who took over in January.
“There’s a possibility of further conversations as the sporting interest is there already.

“However, any possible move rests on the fact that Dundee United achieve promotion, so as to afford his wages.”
Nequecaur, started out at All Boys in Argentina and had a spell at Olimpo before signing for Stranraer in 2015.
But he scored just one goal in eight appearances before returning to his homeland to sign for Nueva Chicago.
The 26-year-old moved to Mexico in 2017 to sign for second-tier side Venados, where he scored 12 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions.
And after a single season at the club, he made the switch Oaxaca last summer, scoring nine goals in 27 appearances so far.
