CORONATION Street’s Carla Connor can be seen sitting in the street shaking after going awol in upcoming scenes for the ITV soap.

The devastated character is blaming herself for the Underworld factory’s roof collapse – which killed Rana Habeeb earlier this week.

Following the tragic disaster, Carla – played by Alison King – will take centre stage, with Rana’s death having a devastating impact on her mental health.

New photos now show the character shivering on the street as she is seemingly comforted by Robert, played by Tristan Gemmill.

The two actors were spotted filming on location, with Carla looking shell-shocked as she hugs her knees to her chest and stares at the ground – clearly struggling to come to terms with what has happened in Weatherfield.

The factory boss is dressed in black leggings, a black jumper, grey gilet, and scruffy trainers.

Robert looks his typically suave self in a blue suit and smart shoes.

The character has a concerned look on his face as he appears to offer comfort to his foe, who he blames for the break up of his and Michelle’s relationship and at one point, Carla can be seen pushing Robert away.

However, there is a chance that Robert’s concern is actually the result of a guilty conscience, with the businessman one of the six suspects in the frame for causing the roof collapse.

As well as Carla and Robert, Nick Tilsley, Peter Barlow, Gary Windass, and Seb Frankin could have been involved – and fans are desperately trying to work out who was behind the disaster.

The reason that Carla blames herself for the accident is because she was told that the roof of her company needed replacing and she refused to hold off production on a huge order to fix it.

Meanwhile, Gary and Nick both knew that the roof was unsafe – which might have inspired them to take the opportunity to cause an accident.
