Dynamo Kiev v Chelsea: Predicted Blues line-up with Eden Hazard set to be rested for Europa League second leg in Kiev

14-03-2019 15:03

Chelsea take on Dynamo Kiev on Thursday evening at the Olympic stadium in Ukraine’s capital city.

The game, which will be live for fans to tune into on talkSPORT 2, kicks off at 5.55pm and will be tough for the Blues approach.

Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi could start

Already 3-0 up after a dominant performance at Stamford Bridge last week, Maurizio Sarri will be well aware of the onslaught which may well face his team.

Dynamo are seven points behind rivals Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian Premier League with just five games remaining.

Manager Alyaksandr Khatskevich will surely be motivating his players to produce a spectacular performance after having seen Manchester United and Juventus already produce incredible comebacks.

But the Blues boss will be sure to warn his side against complacency, blending youth and experience into his starting XI.

With disparaging rumours about the state of the pitch beginning to swirl, Sarri could well opt to leave star names such as Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante on the bench to avoid potential injury.

Gonzalo Higuain has not travelled due to illness, so Olivier Giroud is expected to start up front. The World Cup-winner has six goals in his last six Europa League appearances.
