ANDY MURRAY ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT PLAN.
The first Grand Slam of the year begins on Monday in Melbourne, and it could be the final tournament of one of Britain’s greatest ever sportsmen, Andy Murray.
In a tearful press conference, Murray (31) said that he will be retiring after Wimbledon this year but also admitted that the Australian Open could well be his very last tournament. ” I have been struggling for a long time “, he said. ” I spoke to my team in December- and I said I can’t keep doing this”.
The Scotsman faces a very tough first round draw as he faces 22 seed Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain which could well be his last ever professional match.
