Richmond, Wolf enter NCAA transfer portal
KNOXVILLE — Since the 2018 college football season officially came to a close in Santa Clara, Calif., on Monday night, the ‘transfer portal’ has dominated the headlines.
Throughout the week, several high profile players from Power Five programs have entered their name into the portal with the intention to leave their respective programs. Among them were Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts and Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell.
On Friday, a pair of Tennessee players joined the fray.
Former five-star offensive lineman Drew Richmond and tight end Eli Wolf are both set to transfer from the Vols. Both players were part of Butch Jones’ 2015 signing class.
Richmond started all 12 games during the 2018 season while Wolf saw action in 12 games while starting two.
Wolf finished his junior campaign with five catches for 30 yards and a touchdown.
