Like the good queuing, the ample cups of tea and the stiff upper lip, it is also a typical British tradition to eat fish and chips on Fridays.

To celebrate today's National Fish and Chips Day (June 7), we wanted to hear from you where to find the best chippies in the county.

We have asked KentLive readers to cast their vote by commenting on the names of their favorites in Dover, Thanet, Folkestone, and Kent.

She continued, "We have a pay-it-forward system where the customer comes in and many of our customers donate food.

"We have a wall where all the donated food hangs and the homeless come in. They take a ticket off the wall and give it to the counter and get their free food."

How did that start? Mel said, "We have a homeless homeless man called Roger, who is quite old and fed for years anyway, and he really came from there.

"It was a cold winter night and I have just posted a post on Facebook saying that if anyone knows someone I need for food and homeless, please send it on our way.
