The cult sitcom "Two Pints of Lager" and "Packet of Crisps" could return to TV for a one off special.
The news was confirmed by the star of the series, Will Mellor, who revealed the popularity of reruns that inspired TV bosses to bring the series back.
The 43-year-old Mellor announced that he has contacted the series's author, Susan Nickson, and they are planning a comeback.
In a video posted on Instagram, the actor said, "Okay guys, I'm sorry, I've not been there for a while, I've been waiting for something to tell you, some news, you know what I mean my?
"Recently, since Two Pints came back, it's gold every night at 11am …
"They show each episode, people have told me how much they miss the show and how much it was part of their growing up.
"Please say it for a special occasion or do something."
"Well, I've heard and read your messages and I think we'll get a Two Pin's Special on the way.
"I talked to Susan Nickson (creator of the show) and hopefully we're going to try to get a Two Pin's special in. I just want to thank the people who love and care for the show.
"Look at this room, I just have to cross the 's and the' s and hopefully a Two Pin's Special will be on the way."
All 80 episodes of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps are now on BBC iPlayer and the episodes are shown every night on the Gold Channel.
Mellor played Gaz Wilkinson in the BBC sitcom from 2001 until the ninth and final series of 2011.
Natalie Casey played Gaz's girlfriend Donna Henshaw, Sheridan Smith was Janet and Ralf Little was cast as Jonny Keogh.
