Latest in Beauty Fabulous Beauty Awards 2019 Box Review

This is a couple of weeks late (I’ve been swamped with uni work), but I thought this beauty box would still be worth a post! This box was only £25 and includes so many products I’d never tried before (14 products in total!), so it’s a great way of trying out new products at an affordable price. I’ve been buying from Latest in Beauty for years now and I really recommend checking out some of their stuff!

The makeup in this box is what drew me to it in the first place! It includes:

Full-size Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in shade medium brown. RRP £19. Considering this costs £19 on its own, to get it in a £25 box with 13 other items is a steal. I already use this (conveniently in this exact shade), so this pretty much sold the box for me.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dual-ended Firm Angled Brush. RRP £18. I’ve used this a few times now and it’s definitely worthy of the 5-star reviews it’s got online! The brush is smaller than my usual Real Techniques brush so it’s a really specific applicator.

Mini Nars ‘Orgasm’ blush. I’ve wanted this for ages, but I could never justify spending £25 on a blush, so I’ve been using high-street dupes for the past few years. It is small, but it’ll probably last a long time considering how little blusher you use at once.

ASOS Design Makeup Brow Primer and Definer-crafter. RRP £7. I’ve never tried ASOS beauty products before, or any kind of brow primer. I’m generally quite lazy when it comes to my daily makeup routine, so there’s a huge chance I might forget about this one. It has mixed reviews, so I might post my own review once I’ve used it a few times!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish in Rhapsody Red. RRP £9.99. Nail polish is the sort of thing I never buy myself (especially not when it’s got a £10 price tag) so I’m very pleased with this!

Essentials (miscellaneous)

Tangle Teezer Wet Detangler in Millennial Pink. RRP £11. I just love anything millennial pink. I’ve always been drawn to this brand for their gentle brushes, because my hair is so fine I need to keep as much of it in as I can! This one is full-size, so not great for my handbag, but perfect for my dressing table.

Mini Garnier Micellar Water. RRP £1. This is another product I already own and use daily. Nothing takes my makeup off quite as easily as this does. Plus, it’s travel-size, so I won’t have to lug my 400ml bottle on holiday with me this year!

Mini Batiste Dry Shampoo in ‘Original’. RRP £1.50. I rarely use dry shampoo because I just don’t like the way it makes my hair feel, but again this might come in handy on holiday!

Vaseline ‘rosy lips’. RRP £1.50. What can I say that you won’t already know? Vaseline is a handbag essential that my lips have become totally dependent on, and the ‘rosy lips’ one has always been my fave version.

Carmex Lip Balm Moisture Tube. RRP £2.69. Somehow I’d never actually used Carmex before, and I didn’t expect it to feel so soothing and ‘minty’ on my lips. The best thing about beauty boxes is being able to test things out you probably wouldn’t have otherwise bought!

Simple Kind-to-skin Biodegradable Cleansing Wipes. RRP £1.50. I wasn’t sure about this one; face wipes have got a bad rep as far as skincare goes. But I used one of these after a night out (I only ever really use wipes in a state of total exhaustion) and it worked really well! It totally removed all my glitter eyeshadow without having to scrub, so I feel slightly less apprehensive about using them.

Mini Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Moisture Miracle. This has got great reviews online and I’ve never used a moisturiser on wet skin before (or ever actually heard of wet-skin-moisturisers… just me?), so I’m looking forward to trying this out!

Mini Soap and Glory ‘The Righteous Butter’. This is a total classic and a moisturiser I’ve used countless times. Another mini to squeeze into my suitcase!

Mini Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion. RRP about £1.30. This stuff smells amazing! It’s so affordable too, so hopefully it works as well as it smells.

This box is worth well over £100, so for £25 it’s a steal. Sadly it’s out of stock now, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for their upcoming boxes (or just beauty boxes in general) – it’s such an affordable way to add to your beauty collection!
