ARSENAL are looking at launching a shock transfer bid for Reading’s 18-year-old striker Danny Loader, according to reports. However, the Gunners face stiff competition from Southampton and Leicester as well as French sides Lille and Rennes in signing the England starlet. Reading face increasing interest from both home and abroad for Danny Loader The highly-rated youngster was part of England’s Under-17s World Cup winning team in 2017 and made 22 appearances last season to help the Royals avoid relegation. Loader also scooped Reading’s goal of the season award for his stunning effort against Middlesbrough in April, and his breakout form has attracted a host of interest. The Berkshire-born star has just one year left on his current contract and Arsenal are one of several clubs keeping close tabs on him, according to Goal. Jose Manuel Gomes’ side remain hopeful of securing his long-term future at the Madejski Stadium, but Loader is thought to be keeping his options open. Reading are in desperate need of funds having lost over £22m in 2017-18 with another significant loss forecast for 2018-19. Several Premier League clubs including Wolves and Chelsea are also keen on Loader, who made his debut for the Royals at the age of just 16. Alongside rumours of a switch to France, both Borussia Monchengladbach and Juventus are hoping to lure the young forward to either the Bundesliga or Serie A. [article-rail-topic title=”Latest Arsenal News” term_id=”13968″ posts_number=”6″ /] Unai Emery is braced for a busy summer of transfer activity at the Emirates, with the Gunners also stepping up their pursuit for Ryan Fraser after the Europa League final. The 25-year-old has been a huge hit for Eddie Howe’s side this season, scoring eight goals and making 15 assists in 42 appearances. Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Bournemouth winger, but reports suggest Jurgen Klopp’s men are more interested in signing him on a free next summer. Petr Cech maintains his ‘sole focus’ is to help Arsenal win the Europa League following a report the goalkeeper is to return to his former club Chelsea in a sporting director role. Cech, who turned 37 on Monday, confirmed earlier this year he will retire following the showpiece game between the Gunners and the Blues in Azerbaijan next Wednesday. Cech is expected to return to his former club when he retires from playing at the end of the season A report on Tuesday evening suggested Cech – who joined Chelsea from Rennes in 2004 and went on to win a string of trophies, including four Premier League titles and the 2012 Champions League – was set to take up an off-field role at Stamford Bridge. Later, Cech took to social media to stress no decision on his future had yet been made. He wrote on Twitter: “Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before , I’ll make decision about my future after the last game. Now my sole focus is to win the EL (sic) with @Arsenal ” Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before , I’ll make decision about my future after the last game . After helping Arsenal reach the Europa League final with a semi-final victory over Valencia, Cech was asked about his plans once he finally hung up his gloves at the end of the season. In 10 years, nobody remembers who you beat, only the one who won, so you have to be on the winning side.” Earlier on Tuesday, Arsenal manager Unai Emery hinted that, despite losing his regular first-team place to Bernd Leno, the veteran goalkeeper is likely to start at Baku’s Olympic Stadium on May 29. “[Cech’s] here because he deserves to be here,” Emery said. “His commitment to Arsenal is big. ARSENAL fans have urged Unai Emery to drop Petr Cech in favour of Bernd Leno for the Europa League final against Chelsea on May 29. Gunners supporters have been left fuming after reports have linked the Czech goalkeeper with the sporting director role at Stamford Bridge ahead of their clash. Petr Cech could be heading back to Chelsea in the summer as their sporting director Cech is set to hang up his gloves after the final in Azerbaijan – calling an end to his 20-year spell as a professional footballer. The 37-year-old had been expected to start between the sticks against the Blues – where he is looking to win his fourth final against his former employers. But Arsenal fans haven’t taken the news that he could be returning to Chelsea well, as they believe he shouldn’t be in contention to play if he already has an agreement in place. The ex-Rennes ace took to Twitter to announce he won’t make a decision on his future until after the Europa League final. One fan tweeted: “This guy cannot start in the final, it would almost be forfeiting this final. He has agreed to take up a sporting director role for the team we play against. Leno better start or we’ve lost.” Another said: “Petr Cech will be working at Chelsea next season. No need for sentimentality. Start Leno in the final.” While another commented: “If I see Petr Cech start vs Chelsea in the Europa League final after he’s just been given the Sporting Director role at Chelsea for next season – I swear I’ll scream.” One added: “I don’t care how professional Petr Cech is. He is joining Chelsea straight after the most important Arsenal game for over a decade. “Starting him against them should not be considered. Unai Emery must forget sentiment and start Leno, our number one keeper.” Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before , I’ll make decision about my future after the last game . The chance, no matter how slim, of corruption, is bigger than zero.” While one stated: “If reports are true Cech is returning to Chelsea for me he can’t start in the final regardless of the fact he played huge part in us getting there. Poor timing of the announcement.” Cech has only featured 22 times for the North Londoners this campaign after falling behind German international Leno in the pecking order.

Arsenal started preparing for a potential Europa League victory parade before they even booked their place in the final. The Gunners take on London rivals Chelsea in the Baku showpiece later this month, hoping to claim both silverware and a place in next season’s Champions League that final success guarantees. Unai Emery’s side made it past BATE Borisov, Rennes, Napoli and Valencia to reach the final, and club officials started looking into a potential bus parade while the Gunners were still midway through their knockout campaign. Arsenal have previously held bus parades, and they’ve planned one for potential Europa League success The Daily Mail claim emails exchanged between Arsenal and Islington Council earlier this year concerned a parade should Arsenal win the Europa League, with one reading: “Whilst there is still a long way to go and much to plan, in principle, could you support an event?” The first communications are said to have taken place on March 6, the day BEFORE Arsenal lost 3-1 in Rennes in the first leg of their round of 16 fixture. [article-rail-section title=”LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS” posts_category=”221″ posts_number=”12″ query_type=”recent” /] A council member is reported to have agreed to a potential parade the following day. Arsenal completed a comeback victory over Rennes the week after the first leg defeat, before going on to beat Napoli and Valencia without losing another match to book their place in the final.
