You think picking out your NCAA Tournament bracket was hard? Try doing the #RoxMusicMadness. The Nuggets and the Avalanche have a shot a doing something they haven’t done since the 2009-10 season: Both make the playoffs. That’s right, the Pepsi Center hasn’t been host to both NBA and NHL games in the same year since “Kick-Ass” was No. 1 at the box office, Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” was atop the Billboard charts, and Josh McDaniels was still the head coach of the Denver Broncos. Since the Avs moved to Denver in 1995, the Denver arena roommates have only shared postseason berths in the same year four times (2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010). But that could very well change this year. The Nuggets have already punched a ticket to the playoffs and are a half-game behind the Warriors for first place in the West. The Avs have some work to do still After losing to Chicago Sunday in overtime, they hold a thin two-point lead over the Minnesota Wild for the final spot in the West with six games to go. Winning games after regulation has been a struggle all season for Colorado, which is tied for most OT losses in the NHL with the New York Rangers (13). — Joe Nguyen, The Denver Post 💥 A special offer for Sports Omelette readers! The medium I’ve enjoyed working with the most, is oil-paint. I’ve loved experimenting with it: printing, using it neat, diluting with turps, with Zest-it; using brushes. knives and finger-tips. I love the texture, the smell. I’ve even made myself a mahlstick with some dowel, a polystyrene ball and a chamois. This then is what I’d […]
