THIS Morning fans were shocked to discover the backdrop is FAKE after a technical blunder made the screens go blank on today’s show. Hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were in the middle of an interview about a lonely dog when the screens showing the River Thames and London skyline suddenly went black. This Morning fans were shocked to discover the backdrop is fake after a technical blunder made the screens go blank on today’s show. While the camera panned to the dog while they got the screens back up and running seconds later, it didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers. Taking to Twitter one wrote: “Technical Fault on @thismorning black screen of death lol #ThisMorning #blackscreen #Technicalfault”. Another added: “What the F***. Am i the only one who didn’t know it was SCREENS behind them on # ThisMorning !!!! I can’t. I feel WEIRD.” A third tweeted: “Did anyone else notice the windows turning off?” The screens behind the hosts play footage of the River Thames from their old set The camera panned to the dog which was being discussed while they fixed the technical issue Last year, the show, along with Good Morning Britain and Loose Women, moved from the London Studios on the capital’s Southbank over to West London and Television Centre. The sets for all three shows were rebuilt at the their new home, and screens were used to replicate the river view the old studio used to have. But some viewers hadn’t realised this, with one joking on Twitter: “Are your windows real? I swear the whole city behind you blacked out a moment ago. I think someone needs to put 50p in the meter as those “windows” are clearly using a lot of juice #ThisMorning.” Another simply tweeted: “It’s all a con, my life is a lie.” [article-rail-section title=”Most Read in TV & Showbiz” posts_category=”169″ posts_number=”6″ query_type=”popular” /] [bc_video video_id=”6002137367001″ account_id=”5067014667001″ player_id=”default” embed=”in-page” padding_top=”56%” autoplay=”” min_width=”0px” max_width=”640px” width=”100%” height=”100%” caption=”Holly Willoughby misses another day of This Morning due to illness leaving Rochelle Humes to step in”] The glitch comes after a funny week for the ITV show, after regular host Holly Willoughby called in sick two days running. HOLLY Willoughby has shared a loved-up Valentine’s Day picture of her partying with husband Dan Baldwin at the National Television Awards, captioning it simply: “❤️.” The never-before-seen shot from the party shows two frames of photo film featuring 38-year-old Holly smiling at the TV producer while he leans back laughing. The telly star posted this picture from this year’s NTAs. Holly would have posted the romantic shot from her sickbed, with the star having been signed off This Morning for a second day running today. Rochelle Humes was once again drafted in host the show alongside Phillip Schofield, with telly producers praying she will have recovered in time to front Dancing On Ice on Sunday. However, she was well enough to take a look through her favourite pictures with her husband – carrying on her tradition of posting shots of Dan on big events like his birthday. And fans clearly liked it too, racking up 22,000 likes in little under an hour.
