LOVE Island made its explosive return to ITV2 tonight, with the islanders finally finding out which two couples had been voted the least compatible. And with that came the shocking news that TWO contestants would be leaving the villa – so who ended up getting the boot and what else occurred? Elma and Anton’s face dropped when they were named one of the least compatible couples in the villa What happened tonight? The islanders were told via text that they would take part in an exciting challenge called Eyes on the Fries, with Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths serving as judges while the rest had to work together to transport food using only their mouths. Tom Walker and Maura Higgins were doing tremendously well with a technique that proved to be working wonders, which left Yewande Biala to say: “It’s scary how well Maura and Tom did when you consider they’ve only known each other for two days!” The couple that wasn’t so lucky was Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague – the two didn’t necessarily have a technique going on that would work in their favour. The islanders agreed in saying that Tommy and Molly had absolutely no strategy to win the challenge In the Beach Hut, Molly had gushed: “It was like I was a little bird and he was the mummy bird. He was just spitting on my face. There was no technique whatsoever.” Meanwhile, tension was definitely rising between Elma Pazar and Maura over their crush on Tom. The model had made it known to Maura that he was also interested in getting to know the nail technician from Essex, which weren’t exactly the words she wanted to hear. During a private chat in the kitchen, Maura and Tom talk about their situation together, before Tommy’s name is brought up in the conversation. Maura shared her concerns about Tom with Elma, having found out that her pal also had an interest in the model As Tom wonders how Maura could have gotten over Tommy in such a short amount of time, the grid girl responded saying: “It would be very different if we had a romantic relationship and he absolutely broke my heart but it’s only been three days.” After letting Tom know that she liked him – and hearing that the feeling was mutual – Maura later took a moment to chat with Elma about their love triangle and how things would move forward between the two. Elma declared that she would never tread on Maura’s toes but the Irish brunette argued that her feelings have notably changed – and that’s despite the fact that Elma already shared a bond with Anton Danyluk. “We’re friends and I know if I was in your situation and a guy came in that you liked, I wouldn’t do that. If Tom wanted you, what would you do?” Maura told the Essex beauty. LUCIE Donlan and Joe Garratt’s faces DROP as Caroline Flack reveals tonight’s huge Love Island twist. Anton Danyluk and Elma Pazar also gasp in shock as the host reveals that one person from each couple is about to be booted from the villa. Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt looked shocked after hearing one of them is about to leave the villa Last night, the Islanders were forced to choose which pairing they believed was the least compatible in the ITV2 dating show, with the foursome getting the lowest amount of votes. They then went head to head as Love Island fans voted for which member of each couple they wanted to save. In scenes that will air in tonight’s episode, the four hopefuls look on in horror as Caroline explains the bombshell twist to them. The 39-year-old star says: “The public have been voting to save one Islander from each couple. Elma Pazar and Anton Danyluk are also left stunned by the bombshell “Either Elma or Anton and Lucie or Joe will be dumped tonight.” All of the Islanders react in horror, with Tommy Fury, Molly-Mae Hague, Amber Gill, and Michael Griffiths also appearing concerned as they await their castmates’ fate – with the two that do stay on becoming singletons in the villa. They then went head to head as Love Island fans voted for which member of each couple they wanted to save. In scenes that will air in tonight’s episode, the four hopefuls look on in horror as Caroline explains the bombshell twist to them. Since the show launched earlier this month, Joe has appeared possessive of Lucie – with fans even comparing him to the psychotic stalker Joe in Netflix series You just two days after they first coupled up. Things only got worse at the weekend, with Joe growing jealous of Lucie’s close relationship with hunky boxer Tommy – demanding she “changed” and spent time with the other girls instead. The Essex girl managed to steal Anton from Anna Vakili, who he’d promised to maintain a platonic coupling with, and later caused shockwaves when she admitted that she was keeping her options open and had her eye on new boy Tom Walker. Viewers praised Elma for putting jealous love rival Maura in her place in last night’s episode, with the Irish beauty admitting that she was “f***ing raging” at Elma’s refusal to rule out Tom as a partner. Piers Morgan shades Susanna Reid (Picture: ITV) Piers Morgan has just gone and thrown shade in Susanna Reid’s direction. Yes, the duo who present Good Morning Britain together appear to have an on going rivalry – and it seems Piers is keen on reminding his co-host. When chatting to the Radio Times, the 54-year-old joked about being the ‘driving force’ behind the show, and we’re not too sure what Susanna would say to the. Laughing with the publication, the father-of-four quipped: ‘I don’t think I could really work somewhere where I’m, you know, number ten on the cab rank. ‘I probably am the de facto leader of the team when I’m on.’ The controversial star added: ‘Susanna is very opinionated herself, and has a very big role in the show, but I think if you actually said to her, “Who do you think is the main driving force?” she would probably say me.’ He says he’s the ‘driving force’ behind Good Morning Britain (Picture: ITV) Burn. The pair put their competitive sides to the test earlier this week, where they went head-to-head on Soccer Aid 2019. Before the match started, the 48-year-old branded her colleague ‘unbearable’ as she awaited for the game to begin. ‘I don’t want to turn up tomorrow morning on Good Morning Britain at 6 o’clock if we lose because he’ll have entire bragging rights and he’ll be unbearable,’ Susanna told host Dermot O’Leary. The pair went head-to-head on Soccer Aid (Pictures: PA/Reuters) ‘If we win – he’ll still be unbearable.’ And it seems Susanna was more than right, as Piers (who won the day 3-1 on penalties) managed to taunt Mark Wright so much on GMB that he hung up the call. The former Towie star joined the show via a video call from his hotel room, the morning after the match. Piers wasn’t about to let Mark forget his bungled effort, and during an interview he couldn’t resist teasing him. You went back so fast I thought you were running 100m. ‘I felt for you obviously when I’d stopped laughing. We were shouting, “Wrighty it’s all about to go wrongy”.’ Susanna told Mark: ‘Congratulations, you did so well. We were winning 2-0 for a significant part of the game.’ [metro-tag-post-strip] Piers said: ‘Don’t get me wrong. You played very well for about 40 minutes but unfortunately it’s a game of two halves.’ Mark – who admitted he hadn’t been to bed since the match wrapped on Sunday – had enough of the taunts, and ended the call.
