CORONATION Street’s Carla Connor has had her fair share of bad luck with the recent collapse of her business and being blamed for Rana Habeeb’s death.
But things are set to take a much more sinister turn for the Underworld boss.
Alison King, who plays Carla, on the ITV set preparing for her character’s dramatic scenes
I can reveal Carla, played by Alison King, has to be talked down from the ledge — quite literally — by Peter Barlow as she yells it is her “time to go”.
While suffering a breakdown, Carla thinks she has seen her dead brother Aidan and climbs stairs to the roof of the factory.
Clambering higher, Carla starts yelling that she killed Rana and Peter shouldn’t love “evil”, before she is sedated. A soap source said: “The scenes are really dramatic.
“When things can’t seem to get any worse for Carla, it appears they do.

“She’s at her lowest and climbs up the stairs after thinking she’s seen Aidan, and appears to be looking for a way out of all her troubles.
“Luckily Peter spots her and convinces her there’s something to live for, eventually managing to talk her down.
“She is taken away by an ambulance and examined by mental health professionals.”
Carla ran away after Peter found her distressed, bleeding and barefoot in the street
I revealed last month how Carla’s breakdown would force her to be hospitalised and put on anti-psychotic drugs.
This latest harrowing twist will give viewers flashbacks to Shayne Ward’s heart-breaking suicide storyline last May.
It saw his character Aidan, Carla’s brother, battling serious mental health issues before taking his own life.
Viewers will be glad to see Carla get the help she needs.

Adrian deserts his Duty
GOD, give us strength! It looks like Adrian Dunbar, Line Of Duty’s Supt Ted Hastings, has been a bit loose-lipped about his character’s plotline.
Adrian Dunbar has been giving away plotlines involving his Line Of Duty character Supt Ted Hastings
The actor, who so far has been the hero of writer Jed Mercurio’s Sunday night thriller, has revealed the AC-12 supremo’s situation is going to get even worse this series.
Speaking at an event this week, Adrian said: “He has got a few mistakes to make yet . . . I did not say that.
“I did not say that. If any of you post anything or say anything – I have got to keep on the right side of Jed Mercurio.
“But it’s not looking good. It’s not looking good.”

DI Kate Fleming and DS Steve Arnott, played by Vicky McClure and Martin Compston, are still grappling with the fear that their boss might be H – the infamous enemy within the ranks.
Though they’re probably not as fearful as Adrian is after his indiscretion.

Buff Ben is a cosy cuddler
EARLIER this week Ben Foden wowed viewers of Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins by stripping off to reveal his buff torso.
And it seems the rugby hunk, who has admitted to cheating on ex-wife Una Healy, the Saturdays singer, used his bod to charm his fellow contestants too.

TV presenter AJ Odudu has told how Ben was constantly warming the campmates up.
She said: “It was absolutely freezing, so you’re constantly cuddling each other.
“Ben is like a human radiator. His body . . . I don’t get it. Temperature-wise, his body is perfect.
“I think everyone was constantly hugging and keeping each other warm.”
However, AJ insisted hugs were as far as the bonding ever went on the show, saying: “Unless I’ve missed something glaringly obvious, there was no romance.”
VICKY McCLURE is to star in the TV adaptation of the Alex Rider spy books series written by Anthony Horowitz. She will be reunited with her Broadchurch co-star Andrew Buchan and current Line Of Duty colleague Ace Bhatti.
