Earl Wade, 69, of 2868 Northwest Boulevard NW, Warren, Ohio, departed this life Friday, March 15, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born July 6, 1949 in Belzoni, Mississippi, the son of Edward and Lula Beatrice Kelly Wade, residing in the area for 65 years. Mr. Wade was employed with General Motors Corporation B.O.C. Lordstown Division as an assembler. He was also a diesel mechanic for Ohio Freight. He enjoyed jazz, music, reading, playing billiards and roller skating. He was a 1968 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He leaves to mourn five sons, James McKinney of Hagerstown, Maryland, Stacey (Claudia) McKinney of El Paso, Texas, Donald (Andrea) Wade of Montevallo, Alabama, Marcus Ford and Cory Wade both of Warren; one daughter, Ms. LaShanda Wade of Warren; one stepson, Rodney Ford of Sharon, Pennsylvania; four brothers, Percy Wade, Jerry Wade, Norris Kelly and Timothy (Tangela) Wade, all of Warren; five sisters, Ms. Desiree McMillion, Ms. Annie Jones, Ms. Beatrice Jean Lampley, Ms. Mary Ann Wade and Ms. Theresa Howard, all of Warren; his fiancée, Ms. Elaine Harrison, whom he lived with; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ms. Cora Ann Kelly. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the King of Kings Church of God in Christ. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday, March 23. Family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Ms. Mary Ann Wade, 1432 Elm Road NE, Warren. Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home. A television tribute will air Tuesday, March 19 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.

James Oliver “Pap” Provitt, 70, of 1130 Orlo Street NW, Warren, Ohio, departed this life Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:10 a.m. at his residence, following a heart attack. He was born October 12, 1947 in Rutledge, Alabama, the son of Oliver and Ella Wee Rodgers, residing in the area for 67 years, coming from Youngstown. Mr. Provitt was employed with General Motors B.O.C. Lordstown Division for 33 years as an inspector, before retiring in 2003. He was a member of Grace A.M.E. Church, where he was a former trustee and enjoyed traveling, fishing, sports and was an avid Cavaliers fan. He was very active in the Prince Hall King Solomon Lodge Number 87 F.A.M., Bezele el Consistory Number 15 Cleveland, Ohio and was a 33rd Degree Mason. He was a 1966 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended Central State University. He married Lilene Jean Anderson Provitt in 1985, she died in 2011. He leaves to mourn one son, Dana Jamahl Kelson of Warren; one stepson, Derrick Lakeith (Jennise) Kelson of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Willis Provitt of Atlanta, Georgia; four sisters, Ms. Shirlean Dean, Ms. Nadine Provitt, Ms. Deloris Provitt and Ms. Lationia Provitt all of Warren; eight grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter Ray Provitt and two sisters, Ms. Bertha Mae Hudson and Ms. Adine Provitt. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace A.M.E. Church. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Grace A.M.E. Church. Masonic services will begin at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Pine Knoll Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 1130 Orlo Street NW, Warren, Ohio 44485. Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home. A television tribute will air Tuesday, July 31at the following approximate times: 12:25 p.m. WKBN, 6:58 p.m. on MyYTV and 10:37 p.m. FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
