RED BLUFF — Due to emergency repairs prompted by flooding, State Route 99E was closed most of Thursday between Aramayo Way in Los Molinos and the junction with SR 36E in Red Bluff, reopening around 5:45 p.m. By 4:45 p.m. Thursday several other closed roads were reopened, including Tehama Avenue, Woodson Avenue, Hamilton Avenue, McCoy at Matlock Loop, Hooker Creek, South Avenue, Bowman Road from Interstate 5 to Benson Road and Rawson Road, according to a press release issued Friday morning by the Tehama County Sheriff’s Department. Tehama County Public Works Operations Superintendent Steve Mackey said recent snow at low elevations melting quickly along with ongoing rain may have contributed to flooding. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Department announced the following road closures just before 8 a.m. Thursday: Rowles Road a quarter mile each side of Vadney and Vadney Road from Fowler to Rowles. No further updates were received as of 5:30 p.m. Thursday. A pickup truck drives through flooding Thursday on State Route 99E at Bray Avenue.
