Under his guidence, Liverpool boast the tightest defence in the English top-tier since the title-winning Chelsea team in the 2004/05 season – showing the Reds have real prospects of claiming the Prem’s crown this year. He told BBC Radio 5: “My wife’s parents live in the countryside in the Netherlands. “I love it when we’re there; it’s nice and quiet and nobody bothers you. I’ve thought about living like that when we finish. “But then you have London and areas like Kensington with nice houses, and you think it would be fantastic to have a town house. A little bit busy, nice little bars and breakfast places. Van Dijk has become one of Europe’s best centre-back since moving to Liverpool in 2018 “We don’t have loads of days off but when we do, we take a train to London and have a nice time there.” There will be a few days off for Van Dijk in the near future, though. Liverpool are facing blockbuster clashes with Manchester United and Everton as well as the second leg of the Bayern Munich tie in the Champions League in the upcoming weeks.
