This makes it a good subject for podcasts, and fortunately there is a wide range of podcasts to choose from if you are a fan of the series. There are Game of Thrones podcasts to suit anyone’s interests whether you want the discussions to focus more on the books or just the series. Most of the podcasts are focusing on reviewing the new episodes over the next few weeks but many have a library of content that includes reviews of previous seasons, as well as theories and in-depth discussions about the characters and plots. Here are some of the best Game of Thrones podcast that are currently available online. What are the best Game of Thrones podcasts? Maisie Williams as Arya Stark (Picture: HBO) A Cast of Kings This podcast series is presented by David Chen and Joanna Robinson, and the two of them recap and discuss each episode after it has aired. It only airs when there is a new season, meaning the last episode review was in August 2017, which was followed up by a review of the whole seventh season and a season eight preview. Their first podcast for the new season was broadcast live on Periscope, and it is also available to listen to on the A Cast of Kings Twitter account. David also hosts The /Filmcast as well as Decoding Westworld, a podcast dedicated to the TV series Westworld. A Storm of Spoilers This weekly podcast series is presented by Dave Gonzales, Joanna Robinson and Neil Miller. While the show was away they turned their attention to other shows and movie as part of an off-season tour, so if you’re only interested in their Game of Thrones content then their will be a few episodes that you would want to skip. However if you are a die-hard Game of Thrones fan then this could be the right one for you as this podcast usually goes deep into the books and how they compare to the show, and includes discussions on various theories. Each episodes of A Storm of Spoilers usually last over an hour, and more recently they have been re-watching previous seasons of Game of Thrones as part of the build-up to season eight. (Picture: HBO) Game of Owns Hannah Hosking and Zack Luye present the Game of Owns podcast that doesn’t just cover the TV series, but also the books. The two of them discuss various niche areas of the show, as well as looking deeper into certain chapters of the books and interviewing special guests. In the past this has included cast members from the series as well as people who have worked behind the scenes. Their upload schedule usually varies but they usually upload at least two new podcasts each month, and sometimes more. Oysters, Clams & Cockles This is a Game of Thrones podcast that will be releasing two new episodes every week. Fans are able to hear reviews and previews for season 8, and their previous content has included rewatches of previous seasons, The presenters Ross Bolen and Barrett Dudley also discuss the episodes and their theories with their listeners who are able to call in. [metro-zone-post-strip] The Bald Move Game of Thrones Podcast This podcast is hosted by Jim and A.Ron of Bald Move and it includes previews and reviews of each new episodes, as well as discussions on other Game of Thrones content. Recently the weekly podcast has looked at Fire and Blood, the recent book published by George R.R. Martin about the history of the Targaryens. Each episode is usually at least an hour and a half and their catalogue of content includes reviews of all of the previous episodes. Game of Drones This is a unique Game of Thrones podcast in that it is aimed at helping you get to sleep. There are over a hundred episodes to listen back to where presenter Drew Ackerman discusses the previous seasons, as well as the new episodes in season eight. It also includes analyse and deep discussions, and they are delivered in a soothing way to help as part of the Sleep With Me podcast series.
