THE NEW HOUSE

NICK CURRIE .AK.A. MOMUS IS A SONGWRITER, BLOGGER, NOVELIST AND ESSAYIST FROM SCOTLAND. MANY OF THE SUBJECTS THAT APPEAR ON HIS 1986 DEBUT ALBUM, ‘CIRCUS MAXIMUS’, STILL PREOCCUPY HIM NOW; SEXUAL TABOOS, MADNESS, LITERATURE, ORIENTALISM AND THE AVANT GARDE. WE continue Thursday’s Royal Ascot action with the Hampton Court Stakes, but who will our top tipsters be backing? With tips from our very own Templegate, Matt Chapman and the latest race trends, we’ve got the all-important views on each race right here. Who is running in the Hampton Court Stakes? [iframe src=”https%3A%2F%2Ffragments.sunracingtech.uk%2Ffragments%2Fweb%2Frace-profile%2Frace%2F898544%2Frace-card%0A” height=”1500″ /] What are the top tips for the race? Templegate – Headman It was hard not to be impressed by HEADMAN when winning the London Gold Cup last month. That’s usually the hottest three-year-old handicap of the season and has thrown up a string of Group winners in the past including top-class Al Kezeem. Matt Chapman – Fox Chairman Has every chance of hitting the frame for Andrew Balding and Silvestre de Sousa. He never got a chance to shine at Chester last time when boxed in, but he showed enough behind Circus Maximus to suggest after just two runs there could be much more to come. Wizard Of Odds – Roseman ROSEMAN can bloom in the Hampton Court Stakes. The famous maze at the palace that gives this race its name may be easier to solve as a clutch of improving three-year-olds go into battle. But there was lots to like about the way Roger Varian’s hope ran King Of Comedy close over a mile at Sandown last time. He went on to run well here on Tuesday and this son of Kingman shapes as though the longer trip will help on just his fourth racecourse run. Trends – Headman The trends have quickly cut the sizeable field down to just two – Eightsome Reel and HEADMAN. The latter gets the nod because the Queen’s runner is too long in the betting at around 25-1 to be winning this. Headman won nicely at Newbury last time and should have a lot more to offer at this early stage of his career. THE BIG BOULDER ROLLS ON

Typical misinterpretation made by the mainstream media circus.  They view Trump’s comments last night relating to Hillary as covering old turf.  They, as usual, missed his point.  He simply was driving home the reality of a double standard.  One for Democrats where Hillary with obvious violations and obstruction of justice skates free but a totally […]

The air is heavy and sweat is running down my temples. I wipe my face, using my bare hands. Intentionally ignoring the potential city dirt covering them. I am taking the staircase down the Covent Garden Tube station. Step by step, slowly moving. I cannot worry about hygiene right now. 193 steps. A sudden feeling […]
