Here’s the lowdown… Albert Tadlock was a character in Corrie from 1960 to 1984 Who was Uncle Albert in Coronation Street? Uncle Albert was better known as Albert Tatlock in Coronation Street and appeared in the ITV soap from 1960 – 1984. He lived at No.1 Coronation Street and was played by actor Jack Howarth and appeared in Corrie’s very first episode. Albert was the uncle of Valerie who Ken Barlow married in 1962. CORONATION Street actress Alexandra Mardell was at the forefront of rumours her ITV character Emma Brooker is the “love child” of Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Fiona Middleton (Angela Griffin). On today’s episode of Lorraine the star was asked if there is more to Emma’s character, and attempted to tease out of Alexandra if Emma is sitting on a major family secret. Alexandra spoke about her time on Coronation Street on Lorraine this morning Lorraine Kelly posed the question about fan theory, she said: “There’s lots and lots of layers to this girl, that’s what I love about Corrie, we’ll find out more about her. There’s a lot more to her. “Some people have said, and I’m not sure about this, but some people have said that she’s Steve and Fiona’s love child.” But Alexandra remained tight lipped so not to give too much away. She simply nodded and replied: “I’ve heard that one.” The fan theory is Alexandra’s character is the love child of Steve McDonald and Fiona Middleton Angela left the soap in 1998 but would be willing to return Alexandra plays the role of Emma in the soap Lorraine went on to draw likenesses between former Angela’s character – who left the cobbled streets of Weatherfield in 1998 – and Alexandra.
