At the Trafalgar, and Kindertransport, which toured the UK.’ His management, InterTalent confirmed the sad news on Twitter, saying: ‘It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our client and friend Andrew Hall who sadly passed away on Monday after a short illness. Andrew Hall played Marc Selby ITV’s Coronation Street back in 2011. Marc was the cross-dressing love interest of Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), and appeared on Corrie for just over seven months. After first becoming involved with Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska), widower Marc Selby decided to keep his cross-dressing alter ego, Marcia, a secret from her, which ultimately ended up ruining their relationship. Audrey and Marc were thick as thieves for a time (Picture: ITV/REX/Shutterstock) The person Marc did confide in during this time however was Claudia’s friend Audrey, whom Marc called to collect him from the Weatherfield Police Station one night after he’d been attacked as Marcia. When his relationship with Claudia ended, Marc and Audrey began seeing each other, despite Audrey’s initial worries that his cross-dressing would cause them problems. [metro-zone-post-strip] Ultimately, even though the two got along like a house on fire, their relationship ended when, after Kylie (Paula Lane) found out about Marcia and began blackmailing Audrey to get her job back, Marc came clean by dressing up as Marcia and marching into the Rovers. This, despite the fact that Audrey had previously told Marc that she wasn’t yet ready for him to go public with Marcia – so his revelation, however empowering for him, hurt and upset Audrey, so she broke up with him. The 42-year-old former Coronation Street actress, who played Andrea Beckett for three years, announced that she was pregnant last month and let loose that the EastEnders star was among the first to know her baby news. Speaking on Lorraine, Hayley said: ‘I told him and two other girls I was close to and they kept it a secret the whole time, which is just wonderful. ‘Shane thinks he’s going to be godfather, he’s not. I love that man so much.’ Shane Richie starred alongside Hayley on Everyone’s Talking About Jamie (Picture: KGC Photo Agency) Hayley also accidentally let slip the gender of her bundle of joy, telling Lorraine: ‘I’ll bring him to meet you.’ Realising her mistake, she quickly added: ‘I think I might have just told you what it is.’ Despite bowing out of the cobbles in 2015, Hayley made it no secret that she wants to return and even suggested a storyline for her character Andrea. [metro-tag-post-strip] ‘It would be a dream to go back to Corrie it really would. I see my friends from Corrie all the time,’ she enthused. ‘She [Andrea] could run the cab company for a while.’ Andrea was axed from Coronation Street as part of the ITV’s 60th anniversary but the door was left open for the character, meaning that she could return at any moment. Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV. (Picture: ITV) The Platt family have seen their fair share of heartbreaks but generally they have stuck together through thick and thin – but Tina O’Brien has warned that the Coronation Street clan may be divided forever when a holiday descends into chaos with the truth about Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) stealing Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) money comes to light. As David realises he can’t keep the secret any longer, he admits the truth to a horrified Audrey and she feels utterly betrayed by both of her grandsons. And the ripples of this revelation will be felt across the entire family. Tina explained: ‘I do think this could be what tears the Platts apart. Audrey is heartbroken and what they have done to her is unforgivable and so painful. Sarah feels very betrayed by them as well. Sarah is devastated and feels like there is no coming back from it. ‘David has had his issues in the past and Sarah has always found ways to forgive him, maybe it’s because he is her little brother and she always wants to sort out his problems. She feels so betrayed with Nick. David is quite remorseful but Sarah feels Nick has an attitude which she is really hurt by. As far as she is concerned she never wants to see Nick again, she doesn’t want to work in the factory with him, she wants him out.’ (Picture: ITV) However, Tina has had a blast filming the scenes with all of the Platts and anticipates more high drama to come. She smiled: ‘Anything that involves me being on set with a bunch of Platts, I’m in heaven. I love being with the guys; we all have quite different personalities but we all gel so well. It feels really good to be a part of and there’s going to be more to come as we see the fall-out from this and we see the ways that The Platts try to make this work as a family.’ [metro-zone-post-strip]

Natalie Watkins and David Platt’s kiss is set to stir things up (Picture: ITV) Natalie Watkins (Cassie Bradley) has been making waves on Coronation Street of late after growing increasingly close to David Platt (Jack P Shepherd). The mischievous hairdresser shakes things up by sharing a kiss with David after he is warned by Nick (Ben Price) to keep her sweet in order for her to keep quiet about their money theft from Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls). All of which could make things very tricky indeed between David and Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding). Here’s what you need to know… Who is Cassie Bradley? Cassie Bradley, who is 25, was born on 18 November 1993 in Nottingham, and raised in Nottingham and Mansfield. She took part in local youth theatre as a child before winning a scholarship to the Oxford School Of Drama in 2010. What has she been in before? Cassie’s early career saw her appear in the National Theatre production of King Lear directed by Sam Mendes, with the actress later returning to the National Theatre Company for a second season in 2016. On TV she’s appeared in the likes of Suspects, Doctors and The Coroner, although more recently you might recognise her from Casualty, in which she appeared in 2018 as Leigh-Anne Carr. What will happen next between the pair? (Picture: ITV) Cassie also showed up in the TV movie Torvill and Dean which aired on Christmas Day on ITV last year. When did Natalie Watkins first appear in the soap? The character, who was previously a waitress, made her first appearance on 16 January this year. She was involved in Nick’s scheme to defraud Audrey out of £80,000, eventually showing up in Weatherfield to make things even more difficult for him. (Picture: Mark Campbell/MCPIX) Coronation Street have been filming the ending of Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) upcoming trial as a verdict is reached and he faces prison for his crimes which include stealing a huge amount of money from gran Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) and also may include involvement in the death of Rana Habeeb. Next week, viwers will discover the true culprit in the Underworld disaster but Nick is one of the prime suspects and the cast have been arriving at court to film the verdict that will see Nick’s fate sealed – so could this be the end of the line for him? (Picture: Mark Campbell/MCPIX) When Audrey discovers that Nick was the one who took her money thanks to a confession from David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), she is horrified and slaps her grandson hard. And it seems that the news of what he did will reach the police – and potentially also destroy his relationship with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) as he makes a confession. (Picture: Mark Campbell/MCPIX) Ben was spotted alongside Jack and Jane as well as cast members Helen Worth, who plays Gail Rodwell and Julia Goulding who plays Shona Ramsey. Sources are staying tight lipped over what the verdict is but Nick could most definitely be facing a lengthy prison sentence. At the moment he is trying to keep Natalie Watkins (Cassie Bradley) sweet as she knows his theft secret but what part she might play in his downfall remains to be seen. (Picture: Mark Campbell/MCPIX) And with Nick having already been arrested in connection with the roof collapse it could be even more serious than fleecing his gran – could he also be implicated in the tragic death of Rana whether he is guilty or not? It remains to be seen whether Nick will walk away a free man or head behind bars. The scenes are filmed weeks in advance so viewers can expect to see the verdict in summer. And goodness knows what else Nick may have done by then! [metro-zone-post-strip]

Noel Gallagher loves Alan Partridge (Picture: Getty Images) Noel Gallagher was chuffed when Steeve Coogan recorded him a personal Alan Partridge answering machine message because he such a massive fan of BBC’s The Alan Partridge Show. Ahead of his Sunday Sessions festival show along with the High Flying Birds in Norwich, which is the hometown of the fictional broadcaster, Noel recalled of the time the 53-year-old comedian popped over to his house in the 90s. The 51-year-old musician told the Daily Star newspaper: ‘I am a huge Partridge fan as are all of my band, except the two French birds who haven’t got a clue what we find so funny! ‘Steve was at my house in the ’90s and he did Alan Partridge on my answer machine message.’ Steve Coogan recorded Noel Gallagher a personal message (Pictures: RexFeatures) And Noel’s brother Liam Gallagher is also pals with the 53-year-old comedian and previously opened up about their crazy nights out together. Liam dished the dirt on how he woke up next to the funny man after they got smashed together at a wedding. Thankfully, Liam found Steve ‘fully clothed’ when he sobered up in the morning. He recalled: ‘I love Coogan. I partied with him once, there was a wedding going on, Me and him are sat at the bar, having a couple of drinks. Loads of people come in and they’re going ‘Liam, are you going to sing Wonderwall? ‘I was like, no none of that nonsense. He’s going, “Leave him alone, I’ll sing a song”. And I don’t think they really knew who he was. And he got up on stage and sang It’s Not Unusual by Tom Jones, but f***ing mega. NAUGHTY Natalie has been developing feelings for her boss David Platt in Coronation Street, despite knowing he’s happily coupled up with Shona Ramsey. And tonight Natalie will take things one-step further and plant a kiss on David, but does he reciprocate? David Platt will cheat on girlfriend Shona Ramsey with Natalie To be fair to Natalie, she thinks David feels the same about her as he cancels lunch with fiancée Shona to get some extra training in with Nat at the barbershop. The pair are larking about when Shona walks in and is understandably furious that they’re messing around rather than training. She storms out but when she leaves, Natalie makes her move. David is stunned but is caught between a rock and a hard place because his brother Nick Tilsley has told him to keep her sweet. Meanwhile Shona will speak to her friend Billy Mayhew and get him to find out how David really feels about her. Corrie’s David is currently in a relationship with Shona The kiss cannot really be a surprise for David, after he was left feeling awkward when mum Gail Rodwell pointed out to him that she thought Natalie had a crush on him. And Shona was seething with jealousy over the amount of time her boyfriend was spending with his pretty new apprentice. Gail even offered to babysit Max and Lily so David and Shona could have a romantic night together. But she was left feeling angry and humiliated when David came home late, stinking of beer, after Natalie convinced him to stay late to train her some more too. Spoilers for next week have revealed that Shona will end up calling the engagement off when Natalie arrives at the holiday lodge the Platts have escaped to. Even though Natalie is there to warn Nick and David that something is going on back at the barbers, Shona doesn’t see it like that and it’s the final straw for her. Cassie Bradley, who plays pretty brunette Natalie, has confessed that her character could end up wooing David away, but that it might end in tears. Or even a bloodbath. Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Coronation Street star Cassie admitted Shona wouldn’t “be best pleased” about the pair’s relationship. When asked if it could escalate to the point Shona could turn violent and kill her, she said: “Yeah, but she is from Nottingham, I think she knows how to take care of herself. “I guess death threats have been near her in the past. “I think she does have hidden depths. I don’t know whether its a darkness in a malicious sense. “I think she’s had a hard life and I think there’s a lot that she’s had to fight for. “I think that she’s almost a rough diamond in that sense, streetwise she’s so strong, she’s resilient.” [article-rail-topic title=”More on Corrie” term_id=”505″ posts_number=”12″ /] And Cassie thinks David and Natalie would be a great couple. She said: “I think they’d be a great couple. I think the energy balances them out really well. “We’ve had so many scenes in the barbers where because she’s quite high energy, upbeat, and he’s naturally quite ‘oh, here we go again’, but is actually quite amused by her.” [bc_video video_id=”6027715982001″ account_id=”5067014667001″ player_id=”default” embed=”in-page” padding_top=”56%” autoplay=”” min_width=”0px” max_width=”640px” width=”100%” height=”100%” caption=”Coronation Street’s Natalie dresses up as a grim reaper to hand out flyers in effort from her boss to get her to quit “]
