The pressure gets too much for Stacey (Picture: BBC) The pressure looks set to get the best of Stacey Fowler in EastEnders as she’s cross-examined at Ruby Allen’s rape trial. Ruby, played by Louisa Lytton, made her dramatic return to EastEnders in 2018 amid a storyline that led to her being raped by Martin’s friends Matt and Ross. The pair looked set to be brought to justice after they were charged but it seems things don’t completely go to plan with Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) testimony as she tries to support her friend. Ruby was raped in October by Ross and Matt (Picture: BBC) The character suffered the assault in October after a night out in which she spent time with some of Martin’s mates. She slept with one of the men only to pass out and wake up to find another man on top of her. It was only after Stacey pointed out to her that she did not consent to sex, and had not been in any state to consent, that she realised she had been raped. Ruby is cross examined as she tries to get justice (Picture: BBC) ‘I couldn’t move, I didn’t do anything I just laid there. I didn’t say no,’ Ruby told Stacey. ‘You didn’t say yes,’ Stacey pointed out. But will the pair actually be brought to justice? Both Matt and Ross were charged with rape after Ruby reported the incident to police, but she had a difficult time proving her ordeal happened, after a photo of her kissing Matt appeared on the front page of the Walford Gazette. [metro-video id=”1886020″] She later became involved in a sinister plan with Phil Mitchell, offering him a wad of cash and reminding him about their history, but was left furious after he advised her to let the legal system do its job. Fans heaped praise on the show after the ‘important’ storyline, which brought attention to rape culture and the topic of consent. [metro-tag-post-strip] Louisa has since revealed that she was ‘surprised’ at the reaction to the storyline, but explained she was ‘grateful to be trusted’ with such an important topic. ‘You have to do this justice because there will be millions of viewers watching that will relate, and that almost need this as support or confirmation, so it’s important that it is done right,’ she told Lorraine Kelly. You can get information, support and advice by visiting the Rape Crisis website, or calling their helpline on 0808 802 9999. (Picture: BBC) Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) and Bex Fowler (Jasmine Arrmfield) have been getting closer and closer in recent weeks in EastEnders. When Kush found out about Bex’s anxieties, they began spending more time together, and the teenager helped him when he realised he’d been selling stolen fur coats on his stall. Bex has clearly fallen for Kush, and when they were sat together chatting in E20, it all culminated in a kiss. When they were reminiscing about Shakil, Bex leaned in for the kiss, with Kush recoiling. It’s clear that Kush is many years older than Bex, and viewers have already expressed their worries that this could be a bad move for her. Bex helped Kush with his fur coat problem (Picture: BBC) According to EastEnders Wiki, Kush is 33 years old, and Bex is just 18. That’s a 15 year age gap. Given that her her protective dad Martin (James Bye) is also 33 and friends with Kush, it’s unlikely to be a smooth romance. Not to mention the fact that Bex’s last big storyline also featured an older man in the form of her own teacher Gethin Price. Back in 2017, she shared a kiss with her teacher, creating a scandal on the square. Will her relationship with Kush become the same power imbalanced mess? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – the person who tells Martin is going to get it in the neck (right before Kush does). Sean returns to kidnap Amy in strange scenes Amy doesn’t know who Sean is when he tempts her into his car He entices her into the car to meet her after originally thinking she was his daughter back when Roxy was alive. The moment is revealed in the new spring trailer for the soap. With plenty of romance, adventure and even fights fans have gone on social media to see the return of some of their favourite characters in the upcoming EastEnders storylines. They wrote: “It’s all about to kick off in Albert Square. #EastEnders. Coming Soon.” The first scenes of the clip show Kush and Rebecca kissing And true to their word, it looks like show bosses could be onto something as the drama looks set to be ramped up over the coming months. The two minute long clip begins with a kiss between Kush and Bex, Sharon knocking out a drug dealer, Hunter Owen’s psychological spiral coming to a head and Ruby Allen testifying against her rapists in court. But, despite months of speculation that Sean Slater, Lola Pearce and Ben Mitchell’s returns were imminent, their appearance in the clip is what left fans excited for their returns. Sharon Mitchell is then seen knocking out a drug dealer in the street Mel Owen struggles as Hunter has spiralled out of control And Ruby Allen takes to the stand to testify against her rapists But it’s Phil Mitchell that is in the biggest trouble as his enemies arrive from Spain With Phil Mitchell’s gangster enemies arriving in Albert Square following a money laundering scheme gone wrong, it seems the soap bad boy and his family pull in their resources to help out in the shape of Ben Mitchell- now played by Max Boden- and Lola Pearce, Danielle Harold. From the clip it appears that the pair’s shock arrival is met with a mixed reception and as the clip goes on it’s clear that they are hiding a secret behind their intentions for the visit. Meanwhile, Tiffany Butcher’s days as a drug dealing teen are numbered as she is spotted freaking out at her friend Bernadette and is shouted at by family members Sonia Fowler and Whitney Dean. SEAN Slater is going to kidnap Amy Branning when he returns to EastEnders. The soap hunk – who is played by actor Rob Kazinsky in the BBC soap – picks his late ex-girlfriend Roxy Mitchell’s daughter Amy up from school and tells her her mother sent her. Sharon Mitchell is then seen knocking out a drug dealer in the street Mel Owen struggles as Hunter has spiralled out of control And Ruby Allen takes to the stand to testify against her rapists But it’s Phil Mitchell that is in the biggest trouble as his enemies arrive from Spain With Phil Mitchell’s gangster enemies arriving in Albert Square following a money laundering scheme gone wrong, it seems the soap bad boy and his family pull in their resources to help out in the shape of Ben Mitchell- now played by Max Boden– and Lola Pearce, Danielle Harold. From the clip it appears that the pair’s shock arrival is met with a mixed reception and as the clip goes on it’s clear that they are hiding a secret behind their intentions for the visit.
