PATSY Palmer has confessed that she rowed with producers and insisted that EastEnders was better in the ’90s before she signed up to play Bianca Jackson again. The Sun Online exclusively revealed last night that the 46-year-old actress is returning to Albert Square for her third stint in 25 years this Autumn. Patsy admitted that she used to ‘row’ with EastEnders bosses Appearing on Loose Women earlier today, the soap legend confessed that she believed the show was stronger when she first joined in 1993. She explained: “I haven’t watched it for ages, but it used to be really well written back then. “We had two episodes a week, and everybody wanted to know what was going on. “There were also no spoilers. I used to moan and ask, ‘Why are you telling everyone what’s going on?’ Patsy confessed that she thought the soap was better in the ’90s “There’s supposed to be a cliffhanger and you want to know what’s going to happen next.” Patsy first left EastEnders in 1999, returning for a second stint in 2008 before quitting again in 2014. A TV insider previously teased that she will be playing an integral part to an upcoming storyline, telling us: “Bosses are delighted to be getting Patsy back. She’s a real Enders icon and fans love seeing old faces return. “She has yet to get her scripts but she will no doubt be at the centre of drama when she returns in the Autumn. Bianca Jackson is a fan-favourite soap legend “She starts filming in the next few weeks and can’t wait to get going again.” Fans are looking forward to seeing the fiery character come back to their screens, with many wondering how she will react if she finds out about her teen daughter Tiffany’s rape ordeal that her sister Sonia and uncle Jack are currently keeping a secret. Writing on a forum, one viewer wrote: “Is Sonia going to tell her about what happened to Tiffany?” Another added: “I expect to see some fireworks between Bianca and Sonia.” Fans wonder how Bianca will react to Tiffany’s harrowing rape storyline Viewers were left heartbroken earlier this year when Tiffany, played by Maisie Smith, broke down as she told her great uncle Jack Branning that she had been raped after getting involved with Evie Steel’s drugs gang. Tiffany refused to report the crime to the police and begged her relatives not to tell her mum about what had happened. Bianca is sure to be left fuming if she does learn the truth – especially after Jack and her sister, Sonia Jackson, kept it a secret from her. [boxout headline=”Bianca Jackson’s EastEnders History” intro=”PATSY Palmer first joined the BBC One soap as fiery Bianca in 1993 and she has been at the centre of her fair share of drama over the years.”]The daughter of Carol Jackson and David Wicks, Bianca’s first stint on Albert Square was largely focused on her tumulstuous relationship with Ricky Butcher and close friendship with Tiffany Mitchell. The flame-haired character’s 1997 wedding to Ricky drew one of the biggest soap audiences in history – with more than 22 million fans tuning in to watch the pair say ‘I do’. Her first shock exit occured after Bianca rekindled her romance with old flame Dan Sullivan – who was dating her mum at the time. The pair had a sordid affair behind Ricky and Carol’s back, with Carol disowning her daughter when she learned abut the relationship. Bianca left for Manchester in 1999 after confessing to Ricky that she no longer loves him. Bianca returned to our screens in 2008 after moving in with grandma Pat Evans when her children were taken into care. Now a mum-of-four, Bianca’s world came crashing down when she learned that her paedophile boyfriend Tony had been grooming her step-daughter Whitney Dean. She also suffered heartache when her younger brother Billie Jackson died from alcohol poisoning, and was sent to prison when she attacked Billie’s friend Connor. The character disappeared from our screens again for a brief stint in Manchester, returning with new boyfriend Terry Spraggan and his children TJ and Rosie. After supporting her mum through breast cancer, Bianca decided to move to Milton Keynes with Terry and her children, Tiffany and Morgan – allowing older kids Whitney and Liam to remain with Carol. Tiffany returned for two episodes in 2016 before returning for good two years later.   [/boxout]   [bc_video video_id=”6040308039001″ account_id=”5067014667001″ player_id=”default” embed=”in-page” padding_top=”56%” autoplay=”” min_width=”0px” max_width=”640px” width=”100%” height=”100%” caption=”Inside the stunning Malibu life Patsy Palmer is giving up to return to EastEnders as Bianca Jackson”] [article-rail-section title=”Most Read In TV & Showbiz” posts_category=”169″ posts_number=”6″ query_type=”popular” /] The beloved character is famed for her fiery temper and doesn’t hold back when it comes to giving people what for. (Picture: BBC) Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) almost killed Billy’s (Perry Fenwick) young son tonight after an assassination attempt went badly wrong in EastEnders – and surely now he is beginning to question his own behaviour and how far he is prepared to go in his bitter quest for revenge? He had taken a hit out on Billy because, in his mind, he knew way too much about his plot against Phil (Steve McFadden). Offering a shady killer a wad of cash, he made sure he knew who he was targeting. But when Ben realised that Will had gone out on an errand with Will, he was horrified and raced to try and stop the terrible murder from being committed. As Billy and Will stood talking, a moped approached with a man pulling a gun out of his jacket pocket. When Ben suddenly screamed at Billy to look out, the rider was thrown and he swerved the bike, knocking will to the ground before speeding off. Honey (Emma Barton) soon came round the corner to find her little boy out cold but Billy assured both mother and son that everything was going to be okay. As Ben watched Will be loaded into an ambulance, Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) eyed him suspiciously. And the police then came to talk to him as he had been the one to call an ambulance. As the police prepare to find out what happened, will the assassin be caught and drop Ben in it? Or can Ben lie his way out of this one and prove to his family that he was trying to save Will, not harm him? It remains to be seen whether Ben has blown his final chance of being amid the family in the worst way possible – viewers will have to wait and see what he does next. [metro-zone-post-strip]

Bianca Butcher is heading back to EastEnders after a five-year break (Picture: BBC) EastEnders is set to welcome back yet another familiar face as Bianca Butcher (Patsy Palmer) returns to Walford. The character, much beloved for her puffa jacket and her relationship with Ricky (Sid Owen), was a stalwart of the Square in the 1990s, and has popped back to the show since then. However she’s returning once again for a limited stint later this year – and although bosses are keeping quiet about what will bring her back to Walford, they’ve hinted that it will be ‘blistering’. So when is Bianca back? Here’s what you need to know… When is Bianca Butcher returning to EastEnders? Bianca is set to return to EastEnders in the autumn, with Patsy Palmer yet to begin filming her scenes. Show boss Jon Sen has promised us major scenes involving the character – adding that it was high up on his priority list to get Bianca back in town. ‘When I joined the show in January, bringing Bianca Jackson back to the Square was high on my wish-list,’ he said. ‘I’m thrilled to announce that Patsy’s agreed to return to reprise her iconic creation in a blistering storyline that will grip fans this autumn. There is no one more excited than me to see her step back into Albert Square again. I simply cannot wait.’ How many times has Patsy Palmer returned to the show? Patsy first appeared in the soap in 1993 as the Jackson family made their debut in Albert Square – with her marriage to Ricky Butcher in 1997 pulling in over 22m viewers – one of the biggest soap audiences ever. The actress left the soap in 1999 to spend more time with her family and focus on other projects, before returning to Bianca in a special, EastEnders: Ricky and Bianca, in 2002. Will Bianca be bringing back the puffa jacket? (Picture: BBC) Palmer returned to the soap full-time in April 2008, spending six years in the cast before leaving again in 2014. More recently the actress has been living in Malibu, California, and working as a DJ in the US – while her kids have also been successful both in acting and modelling. EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays on BBC One at 8pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm. (Picture: BBC) Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is about to take a step too far and kick off a horrifying chain of events in EastEnders that could see both Billy (Perry Fenwick) and his young son Will die in a horrifying twist. With Billy being savvy to what Ben is up to in attempting to destroy Phil (Steve McFadden), the vengeful local decided it was time to silence him forever – and he hired a hitman to kill him. Insisting that he make it look like a tragic accident, Ben pointed Billy out to the assassin and smiled smugly to himself as he quietly bid goodbye to Billy, thinking that his problems were over. However, he should think again as he is about to put a young child in the assassin’s path as the so-called ‘accident’ unfolds. Phil has a job for Billy and as he heads out on the errand, Will goes with his dad. When Ben gets wind of the fact that Will is out with Billy, he is horrified as what he has panned to happen would affect them both. Bad blood. #EastEnders pic.twitter.com/cOJllaxOBc — BBC EastEnders (@bbceastenders) May 21, 2019 He faces a desperate race against time – it seems that as far as Ben is willing to go (killing his own family members!) he has drawn the line at an innocent child being hurt. But is he too late to stop tragedy unfolding? As disaster strikes and the hitman makes his move, will both Billy and Will be killed, destroying the Mitchell family forever and making Ben realise he has made the most horrific mistake of his life? EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday 23rd May at 7:30pm on BBC One. [metro-zone-post-strip]

The 42-year-old former Coronation Street actress, who played Andrea Beckett for three years, announced that she was pregnant last month and let loose that the EastEnders star was among the first to know her baby news. Speaking on Lorraine, Hayley said: ‘I told him and two other girls I was close to and they kept it a secret the whole time, which is just wonderful. ‘Shane thinks he’s going to be godfather, he’s not. I love that man so much.’ Shane Richie starred alongside Hayley on Everyone’s Talking About Jamie (Picture: KGC Photo Agency) Hayley also accidentally let slip the gender of her bundle of joy, telling Lorraine: ‘I’ll bring him to meet you.’ Realising her mistake, she quickly added: ‘I think I might have just told you what it is.’ Despite bowing out of the cobbles in 2015, Hayley made it no secret that she wants to return and even suggested a storyline for her character Andrea. [metro-tag-post-strip] ‘It would be a dream to go back to Corrie it really would. I see my friends from Corrie all the time,’ she enthused. ‘She [Andrea] could run the cab company for a while.’ Andrea was axed from Coronation Street as part of the ITV’s 60th anniversary but the door was left open for the character, meaning that she could return at any moment. Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV. (Picture: BBC) EastEnders is bringing back Bianca Butcher for a ‘blistering’ return storyline this September, with Patsy Palmer rejoining the cast for a specific plot. Bianca was last seen a number of years ago but is often mentioned via her daughter Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith). Originally a clssic character of the 90s, Bianca has had a number of high profile storylines over the years – not least of all her fiery relationship with Ricky Butcher. But bosses remin tight lipped over what brings her back to the the Square for a limited stint. Could it be related to trouble that Tiffany hs got herself into? Or perhaps she comes home to be a guest at Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) wedding to Callum Highway (Tony Clay). Either way, show boss Jon Sen has promised major scenes and he admitted that it was high up on his EastEnders bucket list to get the gobby, puffa jacket wearing favourite back in Walford. He enthused: ‘When I joined the show in January, bringing Bianca Jackson back to the Square was high on my wish-list. I’m thrilled to announce that Patsy’s agreed to return to reprise her iconic creation in a blistering storyline that will grip fans this autumn. There is no one more excited than me to see her step back into Albert Square again. I simply cannot wait.’ You’re not the only one Jon! Bianca will be seen on screen towards autumn. Unbeknownst to her, pregnant Louise Mitchell has found herself in the middle of Keanu Taylor (played by Danny Walters) and Sharon’s (Letitia Dean) illicit romance and it seems like it won’t be too long before the cat gets out of the bag. Dropping hints that Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) might soon be in the know, Tilly revealed to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning: ‘It’s not just a case of, “Oh, she’s pregnant and she’s split up with Keanu.” ‘There are lots of twists to come and lots of curve balls being thrown their way, I can’t keep up.’ Tilly shot down rumours that Louise would be out for blood though, admitting: ‘I think this pregnancy storyline is showing a new side to Louise, a really lovely, mature side. ‘She’s claiming responsibility for her actions.’ Meanwhile, Danny dropped talked about Keanu’s steamy affair with Sharon and who his heart really lies with. We can’t imagine Phil will be best pleased when he finds out what’s been going on (Picture: BBC) ‘There’s going to be a crunch when he [Phil] finds out and when he does who knows what will happen,’ he began. ‘It always started with Sharon,’ Danny said talking about who Keanu has feelings for. [metro-tag-post-strip] ‘It’s very complicated. Luke – who portrays an actor in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film alongside the two A-listers – died in March at the age of 52 after suffering from a stroke. Leonardo recalled: ‘I remember my friend Vinny (Laresca), who is in the film as well, we walked in and we both had this butterfly moment of like, “Oh my God, that’s Luke Perry over there!”‘ And Brad added: ‘We were like kids in the candy shop because I remember going to the studios and [Beverly Hills, 90210] was going on, and he was that icon of coolness for us as teenagers. ‘It was this strange burst of excitement that I had, to be able to act with him.
