A WOMAN has told how she screamed for a doctor after being handed a dying baby by strangers on a flight this morning. Former nurse Nadia Parenzee was onboard an AirAsia plane from Kuala Lumpur to Perth and offered to help distressed parents with a “restless baby”. Nadia Parenzee was handed the baby girl by her distressed parents before she stopped breathing The former nurse documented the tragedy online after the little girl died in her arms She said she felt a “vigorous tap” on her shoulder before the couple handed the “grey” youngster to her. The young woman said she could see the baby was “struggling to breathe” before going limp. She wrote on Facebook: “Then baby Farah took her last breath and went limp. “I immediately knew something was horribly wrong and shouted out to the passengers to see if there were doctors on board. “The 2 1/2 hour chaos began, resuscitation continued until we landed. “My heart is numb and I don’t know how I feel but I am honestly honoured to have held her and read a prayer on her before she passed. “To the unbelievable staff of AirAsia you were amazing and I commend your professionalism. Rest In Peace baby Farah.” Ms Parenzee said the baby’s dad told her they were moving to Australia for a new life. She said medical staff took over on the tarmac but were unable to save the baby girl. Cops said the death was not suspicious, adding a report will be prepared for the coroner. [article-rail-section title=”MOST READ IN NEWS” posts_category=”2″ posts_number=”6″ query_type=”popular” /] An AirAsia spokesman confirmed the plane was met by police and paramedics when it landed following a “medical emergency”. He said: “The safety and wellbeing of our guests is always our number one priority, and in accordance with procedure, the flight crew requested medical assistance on landing. “Our thoughts are with the infant and family involved.” She praised the AirAsia staff for their efforts but sadly the youngster couldn’t be saved She said she could see the baby was ‘struggling to breathe’ before going limp [bc_video video_id=”5800248806001″ account_id=”5067014667001″ player_id=”default” embed=”in-page” padding_top=”56%” autoplay=”” min_width=”0px” max_width=”640px” width=”100%” height=”100%” caption=”AirAsia flight from Kolkata to Bagdogra fills with mist after pilot put the air conditioning on full blast to get plane passengers to leave aircraft”] We pay for your stories!
