One of my favorite words is liminal. It means those boundary places where we slip from one thing to another — beaches, twilight, dying. There are thin margins between those of us with ordinary means and those without. People without a place to live, without regular income.

Los Angeles, années 80. Lors d’une soirée dans une villa, une jeune femme de 17 ans assassine un célèbre réalisateur de films… Condamnée à 25 ans de prison, Kelly n’a jamais donné la moindre explication à son acte. Elle perd sa liberté et sa jeunesse, mais garde ses secrets.
