SHAMELESS speedboat killer Jack Shepherd has said he’s “living in fear” after receiving death threats in Georgian jail. Shepherd, 31, fled the UK before being convicted of the manslaughter of Charlotte Brown, 24, in his absence and is serving time in a maximum security prison in Tbilisi after handing himself in last month. Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd has said he’s ‘living in fear’ after receiving death threats in Georgian jail In a series of handwritten notes seen by the Times, the remorseless fugitive alleged that those closest to him had been subject to “threats and psychological pressure”. He wrote: “I received a call, the man didn’t say his name. He said my time in prison would be very bad.” He linked the threat to Ms Brown’s father Graham, 55, a semi-retired Prison Service data analyst. In the notes he said that he was living comfortably in Georgia’s notoriously tough prison system. Shepherd wrote: “I am treated fairly and have no complaints.
I received a call, the man didn’t say his name. He said my time in prison would be very bad
“I have met interesting people and have plenty of time to read, mostly literature about philosophy and psychology. I am currently working on a bird-feeder to hang from the cell window.” He also claims he was suffering from depression before he was convicted of Ms Brown’s manslaughter. Charlotte, from Clacton, Essex, died on December 8, 2015, after the speedboat she was on crashed on the River Thames. Last week Shepherd wined that the victim’s death was not his fault and he wanted the chance to explain why to her family. He claims Brown was driving at the time the speedboat crashed. Last month Shepherd said his life would be in danger in a British prison after he received death threats since Charlotte’s death.
