We exited the car to wailing winds and a deep cold that had settled low on the ground. It was never this cold around these parts. A gust of wind picked up the still wet leaves from the undergrowth and tossed it over us. Gwen shivered and cursed towards the sky. Even Gally swore at the wind that swirled around us. My nose ran, but I didn’t care. My body had been numb for some time now, the feeling from before had not escaped me. The glowing light, much stronger and clearer now, had continued to pull and will me towards it. “This way,” I called as the magnetic force continued to pull me irresistibly. We made our way through the wet mud and towards the frozen bank of the river. “Shit.”
