Comic-Con International is a whirlwind four days of breaking entertainment news as pop culture icons and their fans gather in San Diego to geek out over comic books, movies, television and everything in between.
Each day of the convention is filled with more information than any fan can digest whether you’re there in person or not. So we’re here to help narrow down the field a little and figure out which panels to pay attention to Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21.
Like many things these days, Comic-Con’s behemoth Hall H — where all the biggest panels are held — is kicking off with a throwback. Arnold Schwarzenegger and “Terminator: Dark Fate” crew will discuss the latest film in the franchise that introduced us to Skynet at 11 a.m. Thursday. Not only is Schwarzenegger back for the sixth film, but so is Linda Hamilton. While the official panel description doesn’t name who Paramount Pictures will be bringing out for the panel, the film’s official Twitter account shared that Schwarzenegger and Hamilton will be there along with co-stars Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis, Diego Boneta and director Tim Miller.
It's official. #TerminatorDarkFate is headed to #SDCC.

“Nancy Drew” is jumping from the pages of books to the small screen when the CW Network’s latest TV show premieres October 9. First though, the beloved teenage detective will head to Ballroom 20 at 2 p.m. Thursday to give con-goers a sneak peek at the upcoming series. Besides showing some of the first episode, stars Kennedy McMann, Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Alex Saxon, and Tunji Kasim will be there along with producers to talk about the series and take questions.

With what’s possibly to be its last Comic-Con, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will take the Hall H stage for the first time at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The cast and crew of the ABC Studios series will talk about the season six finale and what’s in store for the seventh and what many say may be it’s final season. With “S.H.I.E.L.D.” being directly affected by events that happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), many have been curious to see what comes next for the TV series. Stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, Iain De Caestecker, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, and Jeff Ward as well as executive producers Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon, Jeff Bell, and Jeph Loeb are expected to be at the panel.

HBO will also bring its highly anticipated adaptation of “His Dark Materials” to Hall H at 4:45 p.m. Thursday. The new TV series follows the adventures of Lyra, the protagonist of author Philip Pullman’s young adult fantasy trilogy. Dafne Keen, James McAvoy, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Ruth Wilson will join executive producers during the panel, which has made the top 10 must-see list of major media outlets and blogs alike.

After a few years of taking it easy at Comic-Con, Marvel Studios is back and it may or may not have something to do with the fact that Warner Bros. films aka DC Comics movies aren’t showing their faces this year. Friday’s Hall H panels kick off with the Russo Brothers at 11 a.m. The “Avengers: Endgame” directing duo of Joe and Anthony Russo will be on hand for a 50-minute conversation about their journey through the MCU and their new company, AGBO.

“Veronica Mars” is back! A decade after the cult-classic left the air and four years after a fan-funded feature film, actress Kristen Bell reprises her role for Hulu and its eight-episode revival of the series. Bell will be joined in Ballroom 20 at 11:30 a.m. by co-stars Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Ryan Hansen, Francis Capra, and Percy Daggs III to discuss and preview the series.

Another best-selling fantasy series and video game classic will hit Hall H Friday at 2:15 p.m. when Netflix gives an exclusive first look at the upcoming “The Witcher” series. The official panel description tells fans to prepare to “be introduced to the world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil are not easily identified.” Who will actually be at the panel hasn’t been confirmed but more than likely stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, and Frey Allan will be in attendance to share never-before-seen footage and answer fan questions.

Amazon is pulling out all the stops for its newest fantasy “Carnival Row” at Comic-Con this year. The new series will be featured during a Hall H panel at 4:45 p.m. Friday plus an activation and exclusive party. Star Orlando Jones and Cara Delevingne are confirmed to be on hand for the panel to share footage from the upcoming series and do a fan Q&A.

And because we just can’t get enough even when it disappoints, HBO will bring “Game of Thrones” back for one last Hall H hurrah at 5:30 p.m. While the award-winning series may be over, there’s still much to discuss or rather dissect about the final season and let’s not forget there’s a prequel in the works to fawn over. While confirmed panelists include Jacob Anderson, John Bradley, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Liam Cunningham, Nathalie Emmanuel, Iain Glen, Conleth Hill, Maisie Williams, and Isaac Hempstead Wright, some out there are also suspecting GoT author George R. R. Martin will be there. Many are hoping to hear Martin announce the release date for his next book in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series.

Fans who brave the Ballroom 20 lines on Saturday will get a first look at the “Batwoman” pilot. The CW’s latest DC crime fighting vigilante will hit the Comic-Con stage at 10:30 a.m. and will debut on the network this fall. Following the premiere of the first episode, series stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Elizabeth Anweis, and Dougray Scott are expected to discuss their roles and take fan questions.

The Star Trek universe will take over Hall H at 11:30 a.m. Saturday for a mega panel that will include the cast and crew from CBS’ “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Star Trek: Picard” and “Star Trek: Lower Decks.” And yes, that means that Sir Patrick Stewart will be gracing the San Diego Convention Center with his presence. Stewart alongside Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, and Harry Treadaway will talk about the upcoming “Picard” series. “Discovery” star Sonequa Martin-Green will also discuss the next season of the series with executive producers and fans will get a first look at animated series “Lower Deck.”

Kristen Bell will return the stage Saturday afternoon in the Indigo Ballroom at noon with “The Good Place” co-stars Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper, D’Arcy Carden, and Manny Jacinto. With the upcoming season being the series fourth and final, this will be the last time that the critically acclaimed NBC series is at Comic-Con so it’s sure to be “a forking great conversation.”

Continuing the theme of goodbyes, Ballroom 20’s “Arrow” panel at 3:30 p.m. will also be the last for the CW’s DC Comics series. With the state of the current Arrowverse and no cast confirmation on the panel listing, it’s a little up in the air on who will appear. “Arrow” showrunners recently confirmed that Katherine McNamara was promoted to a series regular and Colin Donnell and Josh Segarra will return, so fans will more than likely see them along with star Stephen Amell.

Marvel Studios will return to Hall H at 5:15 p.m. Saturday with “president and producer Kevin Feige and surprise panelists provide an inside look at the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.” And that’s all we know. There’s been plenty of speculation on what will be featured during the panel as the MCU makes its way into phase four and kicks off new series on the Disney Plus streaming service. Our money is on the latter, plus who doesn’t want to see Tom Hiddleston surprise fans as Loki again! A fangirl can dream, can’t she? Safest bet is that we’ll see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan who are confirmed to reprise their roles as Falcon and the Winter Soldier in a Disney Plus series within the first year of its launch. Regardless of who shows up, the panel is sure to create some buzz.

The final day of Comic-Con will also bring the final “Supernatural” panel as the cast and crew descend on Hall H at 10:30 a.m. to talk the road so far and the upcoming 15th season of the popular CW series. Stars of the long-running series Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and Alexander Calvert will join showrunners to say farewell to fans, answer their questions and maybe shed a tear or two as they say goodbye to the Winchester Brothers. We’re not crying, you’re crying!

The CW will continue to dominate Hall H as the cast and crew of “Riverdale” take the stage at 11:45 a.m. As the “Archie Comics”-based series gears up for its fourth season, fans will likely see stars K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse and Camila Mendes — though no official confirmation has been given. It’s also possible that we’ll see a moving tribute or at least fan questions about the late Luke Perry.

Did ghost hunter Zak Bagans accidentally curse singer Post Malone with the infamous dybbuk box at his Haunted Museum in Las Vegas? That loaded question and more may make this year’s “Ghost Adventures Live” panel at 1 p.m. in Room 7AB a memorable one. Bagans will be joined by his Travel Channel paranormal investigative team Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley. The quartet will share stories, debut never-before-seen footage and let fans get a close up look at ghost-hunting gadgets.

And last but certainly not least, Image Comics president and “Spawn” creator Todd McFarlane will bring along special guests to talk about the upcoming release of Spawn 300 and Spawn 301. With the release, “Spawn” will become the longest-running creator-owned comic book in the world. It’s also possible that McFarlane may drop some hints about the upcoming film adaptation of the comic that he’s working on during the 1:45 p.m. Room 5AB panel.
