ARSENAL will reportedly refuse to sell star midfielder Lucas Torreira this summer amid interest from Serie A side AC Milan. The 23-year-old has been linked with a return to Italy just a year after he joined the Gunners from Sampdoria for £26million. Lucas Torreira will reportedly not be sold by Arsenal in the summer Former Sampdoria boss Marco Giampaolo is set to succeed Gennaro Gattuso at the San Siro, with the 51-year-old believed to be keen on a reunion with the Uruguayan international. But according to Sky in Italy, the North Londoners will not allow their combative midfielder to depart the club. They claim that Milan are now eyeing up other potential options, with Sassuolo’s Stefano Sensi being considered by the Rossoneri. Torreira is a firm fan favourite at the Emirates with supporters immediately taking to his style of play, while he endeared himself to the Arsenal faithful after opening his account for the club in the 4-2 win against rivals Tottenham. He made 50 appearances for Unai Emery’s men last campaign – with 34 of his outings coming in the Premier League. The player recently admitted that life was better when he was in Italy, though he insisted he will adapt to living in England as the years pass. Speaking of life in London, Torreira told Ovacion: “I don’t know if there are many things that I enjoy. “I think it was better in Italy. England is a totally different world, a very large country.
