Mario Vrancic’s double either side of Teemu Pukki’s tap-in sees the Canaries leapfrog the West Yorkshire outfit on goal difference. Norwich hit the front inside five minutes Patrick Bamford netted a stoppage time consolation but it was too late for a comeback. Leeds huffed and puffed for long periods but mustered few clear-cut chances during the 90 minutes. The defeat is the Whites’ fourth in their last six games as their promotion aspirations suffered another seismic blow. Not since 2004 have Leeds been in the Premier League, while Norwich were last in the top flight in 2016. Jack Clarke and Barry Douglas were introduced at the break as Leeds tried to keep hold of their Championship lead. But it was Norwich who continued to threat and Max Aarons should have put them out of sight but lashed wide. Leeds attacked in waves but they were powerless to going three behind. Star man Kemar Roofe was frustrated for long periods Douglas lost the ball in midfield and when Jamal Lewis’s cross was deflected, Vrancic arrived on cue to fire past an unsighted Casilla. Onel Hernandez could even have added to the misery but dragged wide late on. Norwich were denied a clean sheet when substitute Bamford flicked home in added-on time to reduce the lead.
