SAM COSGROVE has had his yellow card for simulation overturned after a successful appeal from Aberdeen. The Dons hitman was booked during the Reds’ 3-2 win over Livingston for going down in a challenge from Scott Robinson. Cosgrove was booked for simulation but yellow has since been rescinded Yellow cards can only be appealed for diving or mistaken identity and Derek McInnes was unhappy with Craig Thomson’s decision to issue a card the hitman. The SFA has now confirmed that Cosgrove’s booking has now been rescinded. The 22-year-old scored one and set up another as Lewis Ferguson’s last gasp overhead kick saw McInnes’ men leapfrog Livi into the top six. CHIEF MOVE Aberdeen appoint major shareholder Dave Cormack as vice chairman Cosgrove was just returning from suspension having missed the 2-0 home defeat to St Johnstone after being given his marching orders at Rangers.
