Google CEO Sundar Pichai denied allegations that the company was engaged in political censorship Monday at a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee. Throughout the hearing, Republicans repeatedly claimed that the company was censoring search results to the detriment of right-wing viewpoints, while Democrats either denied the company’s censorship or justified it. The fundamental reality—completely […]

The Reporter
I cannot believe how the Associated Press, along with almost everyone in the media, took the death of former President George H.W. Bush as yet another opportunity to bash President Trump. I think it’s disgraceful, disrespectful, and shows again just how biased the news media has become. In the Sunday, Dec. 2 edition of The Reporter, one front page story begins, “Donald Trump, the disruptive, anti-establishment president who spent years deriding much of which George H.W. Bush stood for …” Huh … ?! As I recall, the press derided President Bush throughout his presidency, such as raking him over the coals for going back on his promise of “no new taxes” (something he had originally said sincerely, but later realized he would have to renege on for the good of the country), and ridiculing him for his “1,000 points of light” and for being “out of touch” for not understanding bar codes. I remember at the time, realizing how unfair the press was to President Bush. Then, in Wednesday’s Reporter, Albert R. Hunt’s editorial (from the leftist Bloomberg News) writes, “He (Bush) was an inclusive man and had little time for haters. This helps explain why there’s no mutual respect between the Bush family and President Donald Trump.” What?! Trump is a “hater”?! This is so typical of leftists: Just call whom you disagree with a “hater”! Then, in one of Thursday’s front page stories, it just had to mention that Trump had “mocked” Bush in the past. Wow…! By now, almost two years into his presidency, anybody with a brain understands that the mainstream press leans to the left, and that they absolutely hate Trump with undiluted venom. This started several years ago, when Trump went from previously being praised for helping create jobs, especially for minorities, to being an evil villain just as soon as he announced his candidacy for president. But you would think that a solemn occasion such as the death of a former president would be a time to lay aside, even for just a few days, the constant, biased, tiresome, and disgraceful assault by the media against our current president. — Charles D. Sen. John Kyl, R-Ariz LATE LAST MONTH, two former policymakers and lobbyists teamed up for an op-ed in the Washington Post. It was, as the genre goes, fairly mundane: a description of a problem or a threat, and a prescription that just happens to benefit a particular corporate sector that the lobbyists just might have an […]

I’ve been a little late focusing on the ‘Yellow Vest’ protests or strikes in France. But it seems to me, given a cursory reading of various sources, like a legitimate, mass expression of dissatisfaction with the French establishment politicians. A lot of people in France are fed up and have decided to group together to […]

Prepare yourself for the demise of your daily newspaper. It’s going the way of the typewriter. No, not next week. This is not a breaking new stories. Your local newspaper might hang on for years, and newspapers in some form are sure to survive in some form for decades. But a new study on the […]

Alaska’s largest newspaper has just been awarded a grant from ProPublica, a George Soros-funded organization that is a politically charged entity. The Anchorage Daily News was one of several newspapers receiving such grants. Soros is a major funder of left-leaning causes and is the force behind the Open Society Foundation. He is, in a nutshell, […]
