Gerbil & Family

The consulate in Guangzhou is really nice, though like all American consulates, the outside security and check in is confusing and the staff are rude…. anyway, it was cool to see the US givernment showing some much needed support for the LGB community, especially here in China. 🙂

PilotSafety.org

It’s often said the most underutilized words in the pilot/controller lexicon are “Unable” and “Say Again”. Sometimes, it’s critically important to get your point across, clear up a misunderstanding and getclarification in the most expeditious way possible, and other times, the issue is a bit more subtle but just as important. Last night, Laney Brink and I walked through DU’s campus. We graduated yesterday morning and this past midnight we wanted to see all of our glistening towers and dark blue ponds by the moonlight. Laney and I met the summer before university started when I was sleeping on a local Creede guy’s lawn, and Laney […]

How do we handle the math? What if I told you that a study showed the number of breast cancer diagnoses dropped by 170,799 in some Year II compared to Year I? Would you think that’s significant? What hypotheses might you develop to account for the drop? Is a particular treatment method likely to be […]
