THIS 22-year-old has earned thousands by playing with her My Little Pony dolls on YouTube. Alice Holman has splashed out around £1,000 on her toy collection but it was a good investment, as she earns so much she was able to quit her job as a barista aged 20, just a year after launching her channel. Alice Holman, 22, has raked in thousands by playing with her My Little Pony dolls on YouTube She has a collection of more than 600 dolls, costing £1,000 The YouTuber, who has almost 60 million views and 230,000 subscribers on her channel, lives off the profits from her videos – which are mainly watched by kids. Alice has a collection on more than 500 Littlest Pet Shop dolls and a further 100 My Little Ponies, all amassed over the past five years. She sleeps with a glass cabinet by her bed in the North London flat she rents with her boyfriend, while the rest of her the collection is back at her parents’ house in East Sussex. She said: “Being able to turn a hobby into a job is a dream for most of us and I feel so blessed to have achieved that by the time I was 20. I was also interested in voice acting at the time so I got to do both. “I honestly wouldn’t have thought I could have been successful filming with plastic animals but here I am now.” She lives with her boyfriend and says he thinks it’s like any other normal job She also collects Littlest Pet Shop dolls, which are discontinued so cost a lot Alice can spend anything from a few hours to several days dreaming up the sitcom-style scripts for her videos. She said: “My boyfriend is supportive of me and sees my job as any normal job because… it is! He’s happy that I have something I’m passionate about. “My family are not bothered by it at all, to them it is just my job. They are not envious but rather supportive instead.” Alice is one of only three My Little Pony YouTubers here in Britain, although there’s plenty more over in the United States. She said: “Littlest Pet Shop toys were discontinued by Hasbro so they’re worth more nowadays. I usually purchase them in bundles to save costs and sell off any doubles. “The most I’ve spent on a single one is £66 but it was a good deal since shes worth about £90 normally. “There are more expensive pets worth £200-300 but I don’t think I’ll buy them unless I can find a good bargain.” Lauren can spend days thinking up her scripts She has nearly 60 million views, mainly from her young fans Alice’s dream is to meet more of her fans in person, while she also plans to branch off with a travel and lifestyle channel. She said: “I recently visited ‘UK Pony Con’ in Nottingham. It was my first time travelling up north so I was very nervous. “Myself and two fellow Toy YouTubers filled the room with children and parents when we hosted a Q&A panel. “We weren’t expecting it but it was such an amazing experience.
