In August this year, I will be 60 years old and although the common soundbite that age is purely a number, to me it might as well be The Book of Revelations and the 60 years it took Jesus to confide in Apostle John about all that thorny End of Days stuff! I AM RUNNING THE […]

Lauren London is  ‘missing’ Nipsey Hussle  (Picture: extratv/YouTube; AP) Lauren London has shared that she is ‘missing’ her late boyfriend Nipsey Hussle almost a month after he died. The Game actress posted her grief with an image of the pair smiling at each other during a red carpet Grammy interview with Extra TV earlier this year. After tearfully speaking about the Ocean View rapper at his memorial service on 11 April, the mother-of-two shared a black-and-white tribute to her longtime love on Easter Sunday. The 34-year-old wrote ‘missing you’ with the sombre image of herself and her man of six years. During the 11 February interview, the pair gushed over each other as Nipsey spoke about his excitement to be nominated for the first time for his album Victory Lap. The late artist, real name Ermias Asghedom, said at the time: ‘To be nominated on my debut album, it means a lot… We try not to let awards and accolades validate us, but it’s nice to be acknowledged.’ Following the news of his death, Lauren told fans that she had ‘lost her best friend’ in a heartbreaking tribute. View this post on Instagram Missing you A post shared by Lauren London (@laurenlondon) on Apr 21, 2019 at 10:13am PDT Lauren gave an emotional speech at his memorial service held at the Staples Centre on Thursday, where Stevie Wonder performed and Snoop Dogg remembered the Hussle & Motivate artist. She has also revealed a huge tattoo of Nipsey’s face she has had inked onto her arm, telling her Instagram followers: ‘When you see me, you will always see him.’ Nipsey shared two-year-old Kross with Lauren and was the step-father figure to Cameron Carter, Lauren’s son with Lil Wayne. He also shared seven-year-old daughter Emani from a previous relationship with Tanisha Asghedom. Hussle was fatally shot on 31 March outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles. Two other men were wounded in the attack. It’s been reported that Nipsey had been at his store to help out a friend that had just been released from prison. He and the other two men that were shot were taken to the hospital – police confirmed Hussle’s death and said the other men involved remain in a stable condition. [metro-tag-post-strip] Last Thursday, thousands of the rapper’s supporters, friends and family filled the Staples Centre for a two-hour service, while even more fans lined the streets outside to follow the procession to honour the 33-year-old’s life. Among those attending the service were Snoop Dogg – who fought back tears speaking at the event  – Beyonce, Jay Z, Stevie Wonder, R&B singers Marsha Ambrosius, Anthony Hamilton and Jhene Aiko. The following day, the Grammy-nominated rapper was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery during a private burial. Police have arrested and charged Eric Holder over Nipsey’s murder. Holder has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. A heavily pregnant woman became the final person to be arrested from Extinction Rebellion’s protest at Oxford Circus yesterday. Hanna, 41, was filmed being carried away by police from the blockade at the busy intersection. Two officers hoisted her up and took her to a waiting police van as protesters cheered. [metro-video id=”1909596″ video=”https://videos.metro.co.uk/video/met/2019/04/21/5019180776406498939/640x360_MP4_5019180776406498939.mp4″ image=”https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/04/21/11/12535188-0-image-a-20_1555842860217.jpg”%5D Police officers remove Hanna, a seven-months pregnant climate change campaigner from Extinction Rebellion, who had locked herself to a fellow activist using an arm tube (Picture: Alamy) ‘This is our last chance and I’m doing this for my kids,’ Hanna, a marine scientist from Swansea, said before being arrested. Oxford Circus reopened to traffic last night after being blocked by protesters for six days. They had gathered around a pink boat, which was towed away on Friday evening. Police said more than 830 people have been arrested since the start of the protests, and 42 charged. #HumansOfXR -Hanna, 41, “I’m a marine scientist from Swansea. I’ve been working in various conservation movements all my life. I’ve campaigned, voted, petitioned, paid money to Greenpeace & others & nothing’s happening. This is our last chance & I’m doing this for my kids.” pic.twitter.com/QnTFkKzgxX — Extinction Rebellion 🐝⌛️🦋 (@ExtinctionR) April 20, 2019 Hundreds of officers from other forces have been drafted in to help quell the ongoing disruption. Police have been trying to confine the protests to one site in London, at Marble Arch, but protesters have ignored the threat of arrest and continued to block roads across the capital. Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick said: ‘We have shown that we are strong, we are determined. ‘I have never – I’ve been a police officer for 36 years – I have never known an operation, a single operation, in which over 700 people have been arrested. ‘It shows we are determined and we will carry on.’ Hanna was carried to a police van (Picture: Alamy) On Saturday night, candlelit vigils were held as campaigners sang. The Commissioner said that custody suites in London were ‘certainly very busy’ but not yet full, amid reports from demonstrators that some people had been taken outside of the capital. Ms Dick said she was ‘not embarrassed’ about the length of time it is taking officers to clear the streets, defending their ‘determination and the resilience and the courage that they are showing in the face of quite a lot of difficulty’. She predicted that large numbers of people would be ‘furious’ if the demonstrations affect the London Marathon, which will take place next Sunday. It wants the Government to declare a climate emergency and take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025. Extinction Rebellion announced they are switching disruptive tactics for political negotiation as they enter a second week of campaigning to have the Government declare a climate emergency. Farhana, the group’s political circle co-ordinator said: ‘Today marks a transition from week one, which focused on actions that were vision-holding but also caused mass “disruption” across many dimensions (economic, cultural, emotional, social). ‘Week two marks a new phase of rebellion focused on “negotiations” where the focus will shift to our actual political demands.’ [metro-fact-box id=”8027376″ title=”Got a story for Metro.co.uk?” icon=”exclamation” /]
