KEMPTON’S Adonis card is always a cracker and I can’t wait to get stuck into the action. I’ve been mooching over the other cards too and have picked out some Saturday sizzlers across the rest of the country. Kempton 3.35 Glen Rocco – Demolished a decent field at the track last time out and earned a big rise in the weights. He’d previously only been beaten under three lengths by Arkle contender Glen Forsa, and that horse is now rated 150 – while Glen Rocca, after his raise, is still only on 137. That suggests he’s still got plenty of room in his mark and we know the course and distance is ideal. [boxout headline=”Bully’s Saturday Bankers”]2.05 Lingfield – Gorgeous Noora 2.40 Newcastle – Ange Des Malberaux 3.35 Kempton – Glen Rocco 3.40 Chepstow – Samburu Sharjaa 7.00 Wolverhampton – Alkaamel [/boxout] Chepstow 3.40 Samburu Shujaa – Won a maiden hurdle in emphatic style here last time, careering away from an admittedly weak field. An opening mark of 129 doesn’t look too harsh and he should have plenty more left in the locker as he keeps getting better. The champ is booked and despite the big field, a lot of the runners don’t count. [article-rail-section title=”LATEST IN HORSE RACING” posts_category=”21″ posts_number=”12″ query_type=”recent” /] Lingfield 2.05 Gorgeous Noora – Expect Archie Watson’s mare to fly late as she steps back in trip. She couldn’t lay a glove on Kachy in second last time but there’s no shame in that and this is an easier assignment. All of her rivals have to give her weight and she looks a nice price to go one better. Newcastle 2.40 Ange Des Malberaux – Dan Skelton has done wonders with his nine-year-old and his last two wins have been achieved with the minimum of fuss. This is obviously a much harder contest but I’m confident he’ll get the trip as he stayed on strongly over three and a half on his penultimate start. He gets in towards the bottom of the weights and although his rating has gone up there’s no knowing how much improvement he could have left in him. TAKE A STAND Phil McEntee hails fellow trainers as Lingfield’s Saturday card is boycotted Wolverhampton 7.00 Alkaamel – Continues to look a horse well ahead of his mark and it would be a surprise if he wasn’t capable of getting even better. Cieren Fallon is very good value for his 7lb claim and he should be able to steer this one home even after a rise in the weights. Expect him to take this before going on to better things. Eden On The Edge

Looking for wild horses in the west desert, I found a spring instead. Fresh water babble rising over menacing desolation. The only sign of humans: gnarled wire and the sagging fenceposts of an abandoned pasture. Years ago, my sisters and I saw a badger here. Horned larks fuss as my dog lopes through yellowed sage. […]

BISCOFF biscuit lovers will be thrilled to learn that you can now get Biscoff ice cream in the UK. The tasty treats were launched in continental Europe first, but now at long last they’ve made it to British shores. At the moment, you can pick them up in selected Waitrose stores for just £3.89 for a pack of three (which works out at £1.30 an ice cream). It’s available in 95 of the Waitrose stores across the UK and you can pick one up today. No other supermarkets are stocking the ice cream, but Lotus Biscoff says watch this space as it’s expecting the ice cream to be available else soon. A spokesperson said: “Lotus Bakeries are in discussions with many other retailers up and down the country to ensure that as soon as is possible, consumers throughout the UK can get their hands on this exciting & delicious new range of ice cream.” [boxout headline=”Where to go to buy Biscoff ice cream” intro=”HERE’S the full list of the 95 Waitrose stores where you can get your hands on the new ice cream.”] Abergavenny Admiral Park (Guernsey) Altrincham Aylesbury Banbury Banstead Barnet Barry Bath Beaconsfield Beckenham Berkhamsted Bromley South Buckhurst Hill Bury St Edmunds Cheadle Hulme Chester Christchurch Cirencester Colchester Coulsdon DFC Crewkerne Daventry East Grinstead Eastbourne Edgware Road Egham Enfield Exeter Finchley Formby Godalming Great Malvern Guildford Haywards Heath High Wycombe Hitchin Horley Horsham New Hove John Barnes Kenilworth Kingsthorpe Lichfield Lincoln Lymington New Maidenhead Meanwood Mill Hill Monmouth Nailsea Newark Newbury Newmarket Newport Newton Mearns Oadby Oxford Botley Road Parkstone Pontprennau Portishead Reading Richmond Rickmansworth Ringwood Ruislip Rushden Salisbury Saltash Sandbach Sevenoaks Sheffield Sidmouth South Woodford Southend Stratford City Sudbury Sunningdale Swindon Thame Truro Twickenham Uttoexeter Wallingford Walton-le-Dale Wandsworth Waterlooville Welwyn Garden City West Ealing Weston Super Mare Willerby Wilmslow Wokingham Wolverhampton Worcester Wymondham Yateley York [/boxout] There packs contain three crunchy, chocolate-coated ice cream sticks. The only other available Lotus Biscoff products currently available in the UK are the biscuits themselves and the Lotus Biscoff spread. The biscuits are available in most UK supermarkets. Usually they retail at £1.25 for a pack but Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose all have deals where you can get them for £1. The spread normally costs £2.25 or more, but Waitrose has the best offer at the moment, flogging the 400g pots for just £1.88. STAY in the know with our racing report card as we look back at the pick of the day’s action. We have pinpointed a star performer, a notable gamble and a horse for the tracker from the racing this Friday. Star performer ⭐️ 2.40 Exeter – Epatante Nicky Henderson’s mare could hardly have been more impressive under Barry Geraghty. She was keen for much of the race but still drew clear effortlessly to win on the bridle. She is now the warm favourite for the mares’ novice at Cheltenham and she will take the world of beating there. MAKING A STAND Trainers boycott two races at Lingfield on Saturday Gamble landed 💰 1.50 Lingfield – Pink Flamingo Mark Johnston’s charge was well-backed to land the opener at Lingfield. Having opened up 11-4, he was smashed into 6-4 favouritism near the off by eager punters. The race never really looked in doubt as the wily Joe Fanning made all the running to score a cosy victory. However, a mistake at a crucial part of the contest put him on the back foot. He finished to good effect in the closing stages to take third, and he remains of interest off his current mark. This is a great race. The big question is whether Chase Auckland is right. I don’t think so. It was a terrible run last start, and an even weirder drive by Natalie Rasmussen. Just when she should have been looking to poke up the inside of Picard she was looking the other way, out at […]

THE weather this winter has been absolutely ridiculous. Newcastle’s Eider Chase, normally a brutal stamina test, looks set to be run on good ground for the first time since records began! I’m going to take a chance on the lightly-raced JUST YOUR TYPE (2.40 Newcastle) in the £80,000 marathon. Charlie Longsdon’s progressive mare was on course to register an emphatic victory in a good race over 3m at Exeter last time when she came down two out. It’s not the ideal preparation for a race like this, but she had been assured in the jumping department previously and I’m certain she’s better than her mark. She takes a big step up in trip here, but on breeding (from the family of high-class stayers Golden Chieftain and Boychuk) she could relish it.
