45 Ruminations Per Megabyte

(Above: I was clearly enjoying my junior year of high school and in no hurry to go on break.) Friday, December 14, 1984 was the last day of school before the Christmas break began. If I remember correctly, we got out early from school that day, and a bunch of us went to Dave-we-called-Fritz’s house, […]

Faith, Hope and Love

I was challenged recently by a dream that I had. It left such an impact on me that I decided to pray and ask God what it meant. In the dream, I saw what looked like a store. It was the kind of store you would see if you were in a small town on […]

Carrot Ranch Literary Community

If art is about expression what does graffiti have to say? Sometimes it is territorial marking, gangs claiming streets. And sometimes the artists of a community take to the streets with paint on buildings to tell the stories of heritage. Graffiti can be an outcry, art at its most basic level, one person with something […]

Dorian Iacchus' World

Pentapolis of the Valley’s number one vagabond dancehall is Etica, populated by the alienated, underweb-hackers, punks and clubbers equally. The exterior of Etica is an uncomplicated warehouse, like any in Noex along Wuthering Canal.  The area began as an extension of Parkfront, which had been a vacation spot until it was overtaken by the 1899 […]

Verve - Living Complexly

When I attended Aerynd University in 2051 none of the traditional professional studies interested me, so he settled on graphic fiction. Rather than go home after graduation, I moved into the Langham building of Caentibiry Place, amongst the wounded and wonderful – vagabonds, ecchi, socialists, and anarchists who encouraged playing with sexuality and sexual roles. The precinct of Caentibiry Place is located in the Parkfront Ward of Paeryt, the oldest and best preserved Victorian neighborhoods in The Valley. Paeryt is known for its opulent antique shops and art galleries; it also contains upscale restaurants and luxury hotels. The Ward’s survival of historic neighborhoods is due to canal warehouses, mils and silos, many of which have been renovated for boutiques and restaurants, cafes and shops, creating pockets of Dickens villages along Aerynd Canal and Caentibiry Canal.

Joker's Otome Reviews

Pink Rage Otome follows Horror in the underworld. In the underworld, there is the Great Trial where if people pass, they get brought back to life. The trial is done in teams, but Horror (aptly named) is such an absolute jerk that everyone hates her, including me. General Information: Where to get: Steam Page Cost: […]

TETROMET RISING   The scratching of my match broke the silence of the night. It crackled across the matchbook like the smooth melody of jazz- calming and comforting to my ears. The licking flame chased the darkness from my face, and the smoke arose like mist escaping a crypt. The only other illumination […]

A Dreamlog

Cropped header image by Darwin Bell under Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 Generic. My memories of the first part of last night’s dream is pretty scattered – I was on my own for that part. The part I remember started after some wandering around in London. I entered a Victorian bar, stood amongst a circle of around […]

Sharp Jesse Knife

25. The Swing (dir. Cyril Aris, Lebanon) Morally ambiguous doc about a family keeping their nonagenarian patriarch in the dark about the death of his daughter. As his health and mind slip away, the lingering camera – meticulously composed and shot on smeary home video – occasionally suggests he senses something is up. But then […]
