FAIR City fans were left stunned last night – as Oisin left Carrigstown for good. Paul’s son departed for London, leaving a heartbroken Charlotte behind after he spent the night with Blume. Fair City’s Oisin says goodbye to his brother and sister as he heads for London Paul tried to make amends with his son before he left, but Oisin wanted nothing to do with him – and said his final goodbyes to Charlotte and siblings Callum and Ruth. Viewers were devastated to see actor Patrick Ball depart after three years on the RTE soap. One said: “Oisin don’t go! Who will we love to hate now? @Patrick_S_Ball you did a terrific job of him. Best of luck”. Another fan wrote on Twitter: “Oisin can’t leave ! Say it ain’t so”. Callum tried to persuade Oisin to stay but he wasn’t swayed And Tanka Jahari said: “I don’t want Oisín to go!” But other fans were worried about his departure to the UK in the midst of Brexit. Patrick Ball told how it was hard to say goodbye to the Fair City cast and crew – and opened up on how Paul actor Tony Tormey had played a prank on him during his first week on set. He said: “My three years there have been a small blip in the overall arc of the show, but everyone in there still made me feel welcome, and like I was a part of that family. #FairCity Oisin don't go! Who will we love to hate now? @Patrick_S_Ball you did a terrific job of him. Best of luck — Carol (@DollysTrups) February 22, 2019 Oisin can’t leave ! Say it ain’t so 😢🤨😍 #faircity — Niall Horan (@niallhoran) February 21, 2019 I don't want Oisín to go. 😥 #favecharacter #faircity — Tanka Jahari (@kelliebarron94) February 21, 2019 “So it was difficult to say goodbye to the lovely bunch of people I’ve gotten to know in there. “My first day of filming in studio was a scary day. Everything is so fast paced that it’s hard to calm down. “So on that first day, first thing in the morning, I was filming a scene with Tony Tormey on the McCoy’s set. Oisin and Charlotte say a last goodbye “The idea was that I would enter with him into McCoy’s about halfway through the scene, and go up to the bar to get a drink. “We had to wait outside the door for our cue to go in, and Tony could see that I was nervous, so he tapped me on the shoulder to let me know that I missed my cue, and was motioning me to walk in. “Panicked, I walked quickly through the door, only to find out that it wasn’t my cue, that I had entered way too early, and that Tony had given me the wrong cue on purpose.” [article-rail-section title=”MOST READ IN SHOWBIZ” posts_category=”169″ posts_number=”6″ query_type=”popular” /] But Patrick told how the time was right for a change – despite not having a plan for his next job. He said: “There’s nothing currently on the horizon, but that could change. That’s one of the exciting/scary things about acting. “I have nothing on the horizon now, but that could change tomorrow, you just don’t know. Apart from acting, I’m really enjoying writing.” [bc_video video_id=”5771297672001″ account_id=”5067014667001″ player_id=”default” embed=”in-page” padding_top=”56%” autoplay=”” min_width=”0px” max_width=”640px” width=”100%” height=”100%” caption=”Aoife threatens prime suspect Oisin as Wayne plots confession in Karen’s murder case in Fair City”]
