By Alexa Kinoshita|November 14, 2018 As soon as I get home from class, all I want to do is jump into a pair of sweatpants, lay in bed and binge-watch the new Black Mirror series on Netflix while eating a pack of Oreos, of course. I want to be lazy but I know I can’t.

CHOCOLATE fans are in for a treat as Cadbury launches another bar to its dark chocolate range. The new flavour tastes of salted caramel and it’ll be available nationwide from January 1 next year. Cadbury is launching another flavour to its dark chocolate range thanks to popular demand It combines rich cocoa with the typical creaminess of Cadbury and pieces of salted caramel chips. Earlier in August, the chocolate maker revealed it was launching a dark chocolate range in the UK to appeal to those who find dark chocolate too bitter. So far, it has come in an “original” plain flavour and a roasted almond one and cost £1.29 for an 85g bar. And Twitter user were “in heaven” as the products rolled out in stores.   The new salted caramel flavour will be more expensive, setting shoppers back £1.49 for the same-sized bar – and it’s also more expensive than a bar of Dairy Milk. You can get 200g – more than twice the amount – of the milky chocolate for £1.50 at Morrisons – which works out at 65p for 85g, and 84p cheaper than the new darker bars. But perhaps surprisingly, the salted caramel flavour is actually better for you than the original Darkmilk flavours as well as the milk chocolate, although it’d be a step too far to call it healthy. The new edition contains 530 calories per 100 g, compared to 562 calories for the Darkmilk original flavour and 567 calories for the roasted almond. Meanwhile, the traditional milk chocolate contains 534 calories per 100 g. Cadbury owner Mondelez says the dark chocolate bars contain 40 per cent cocoa to “provide a more grown up taste for consumers who find milk chocolate a little too sweet and dark chocolate too bitter”. [article-rail-topic title=”More on food” term_id=”13097″ posts_number=”6″ /] Experts reckon that chocolate that contains 70 per cent cacao play a role in helping to prevent illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, dementia and depression. Earlier this year, Cadbury revealed that it was launching a low-sugar Dairy Milk bar that contains 30 per cent less sugar but they claim it tastes exactly the same. In January next year, the chocolate maker is also rolling out an Oreo flavour of its famous Creme Egg filled with cream and biscuit pieces. We pay for your stories! I’m not ashamed to admit I get cravings for McDonald’s, just like anybody else. Despite eating a multitude of fabulous Korean dishes throughout my time here, sometimes I just want fast food and something “Western.” McDonald’s has quickly become my go-to for this fix because although they have many Korean-influenced menu items, they serve a […]
