Faith-Family-Food

Welcome I recently came across the humorous, yet useful phrase, “in-grown eyeballs.”  It’s another way to describe how we go through life, becoming so focused on ourselves, our problems, our wants and needs, that we expect the rest of the world, or at the very least our friends, family, and coworkers, to stop everything in […]

The Well-Appointed Desk

By Jessica Coles Coffee is an essential part of my life.  Most of my coffee consumption at this point in my life comes from a mug although I have gone through countless cups in the past.  Especially at pen shows. So the jump from used coffee cup to paper seems like a great connection to […]

Girl Who Tells Stories

“Be sure to wear a skirt. And a plug.” I wear dresses most days so this part is easy. I have taken to carrying a plug with me in case but I got the message early enough to be wearing it. There have been no other messages since then so there’s really no reason (other […]

I like to collect things when we go on vacation. The two things I like to collect are spoons and Christmas ornaments. I love thinking about all the fun trips we’ve been on when putting up the tree. This past year we had our first real beach vacation at North Myrtle Beach. I decided that […]

When I first starting bullet journaling back in July, I found it very difficult to use it for my personal life, but going to school and having the advantage of a bullet journal is a whole different story. I didn’t exactly start bullet journaling until the beginning of the month, but I found it very […]

From my perspective

Christmas can be hard, or at least strange, when you have a child at a residential facility. As a family, we had wonderful, if overwhelming, Christmases when my children were small. While the days of, and after, the celebrations with extended family were sometimes just too much for my daughter to take in, the feeling […]
