One of my favorite Star Trek Next Generation episodes is “The Inner Light” where Captain Picard lives a new life on the extinct planet, Kataan, that died 1000 years ago. He experiences decades of a life on that planet in less than 25 minutes while he’s in a coma. Escaping to a completely new life […]
Star Trek: Picard
I may not be the geekiest person you’ve ever met, but I do have a bat’leth on my wall and an all-female ‘Feminist Funko’ collection that has grown so big, I’ve had to twice craft new displays to show it off. It’s fair to say I’ve got at least some geek cred. But I obviously […]
As time has gone on, I’ve enjoyed this film more and more. I’ll never love it (it’s far too flawed for that level of appreciation), but there are depths to this films thematic material that really only grow with repeat viewings. As implied, the movie’s far from perfect. Data’s story is very much a B-story […]
Nothing will ever be the same again. Donald Trump’s unwavering disregard for reality and his acts of violence against the truth are rapidly metastasizing into the marrow of the national debate. I’m not sure we have enough heroes in this country to successfully extricate Trumpism and toss it into the biohazard waste bin of history, […]
Chuck Todd’s terrible interview with our fabricator-in-chief snapped the tether: From here on out there’s no truth.
Comic Box Recap for June 12, 2019 – Grumble #7, Star Trek: Q Conflict #5, Sector Zero #2 and #3, Unnatural #10, Outer Darkness #7
The power of The Inner Light is that it shows just how easily we all could be drawn into life and made to believe it is real, only to discover at its end, it was all a play.
The First Amendment of the United States Constitution protects everyone’s right to freedom of religion and freedom of expression from government interference. It prohibits any laws that establish a national religion, impede the free exercise of religion, abridge the freedom of speech, infringe upon the freedom of the press, interfere with the right to peaceably assemble, or prohibit citizens from petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. However, there are social media outlets that are actually banning people for using language that they deem as “hateful” or “hurtful” to others. Those social media outlets will even block or delete accounts that “they deem” as hateful speech; despite the fact that the Constitution affords us the freedom of speech.
Retro TV Review Presents Star Trek The Next Generation Episode Contagion
I hate everything about Star Trek Discovery except for the cast and I actually think they’re solid. I’ve watched the entire first two seasons and I really don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch them again, it was so miserable. It was like fan fiction but not good fan fiction. There were a billion […]
Toronto Police lost Cont. Sam Sun last year but three new recruits now serve and protect in his memory — a Clydesdale and two German Shepherds. Sun, an avid animal lover, passed away last year. “At the time of his funeral, it was not known whether his sudden death was related to an on-duty injury […]

Patrick Stewart will be reprising his beloved role from Star Trek: The Next Generation, marking a return to the franchise's roots after years of prequels and reboots. The details of the franchise have been […]
