Excitement had been mounting about the Andy Murray/Serena Williams partnership but the pair crashed out of the tournament today against the top seeds
It came on a day when big names descended on SW19 – including Kim Murray who sparked further pregnancy rumours as husband Andy crashed out of the mixed doubles.
Zara, the Queen’s equestrian grandaughter, looked relaxed and happy as she leaned on her husband’s shoulder in a blue and white-striped dress.
The 38-year-old won considerable kudos when she went head-to-head with Mike on Top Gear – before the couple enjoyed a snog at the finish line.
Today they were seen laughing together affectionately as crowds cheered on the men’s quarter finalists on Wimbledon’s biggest court.
Later Zara looked delighted as refreshing Pimm’s drinks were delivered to their Royal Box seats.
The duo joined 60s model icon Twiggy Lawson, Dame Shirley Bassey, Fiona Bruce and the Duchess of Cornwall at the ultimate grass court slam today.
Devastatingly for Brits, Wimbledon champ Andy Murray, 32, crashed out of the mixed doubles as he fought with Serena Williams in today’s clash against Brazil’s Bruno Soares and USA’s Nicole Melichar.
But while some were glued to the tennis, Andy’s Kim was also the subject of fevered speculation after appearing in maternity clothing for a second consecutive outings.
The mum-of-two had sparked rumours after she was seen wearing a Freida top on Centre Court – while today a blowsy blue dress appeared to disguise a possible bump.
But Kim appeared keen not to distract from her husband, who made an incredibly recovery from hip resurfacing surgery to play at his favourite tournament this year.

[boxout headline=”WIMBLEDON JOINS WAR ON PLASTIC”]Wimbledon has become more eco-friendly this year, introducing recyclable water bottles – and free re-fill points – in the war on plastic.
After banning plastic straws from last year’s event, Pimm’s are now served with paper alternatives – and there’s even the option of vegan strawberries and cream.
The eco-war isn’t just taking place off court either – players including Germany’s Angelique Kerber and Austria’s Dominic Thiem are wearing sports gear made from plastic waste, having been designed especially by Stella McCartney.
And classic tennis trainer Tretorn Nylite – made famous by Björn Borg and Martina Navratilova – has been relaunched in 100% locally-sourced canvas and natural rubber.
