Yemen is currently witnessing the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. The disastrous war has led to countless deaths of innocent civilians and other significant consequences for the Middle Eastern state. President Trump has tried to show himself as someone who would go against former President Obama’s foreign policy. He would stop the senseless efforts […]

Victor Rosenthal – Why US Jewish leaders have a problem with Netanyahu Earlier this week, I wrote about the foolish and arrogant letter sent by the American Reform and Conservative movements and some of their associated organizations to President Trump, demanding that in the light of newly re-elected Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu’s intention to extend […]

I’m mad about nuclear weapons spending. The Trump administration plans to spend far more than President Obama on the U.S. nuclear weapons complex. Depending on time frame, the administration will see Obama’s trillion dollars and raise it another half trillion. Why do we continue to spend money at all on a weapons system we are […]

Earth Day comes right after Easter this year. Maybe some in the media can help Americans make the jump from believing in unprovable mystic mumbo-jumbo into believing in scientific facts and analysis.  We have had warning after warning after warning, with each subsequent warning more dire than the previous one. We are seeing predicted effects […]

The Atlantic: “Joe Biden is running. The former vice president will make his candidacy official with a video announcement next Wednesday.” “Seriously, he’s actually made a decision. It’s taken two years of back and forth, it’ll be his third (or depending on how you count, seventh) try for the White House, many people thought he […]

Kim Kardashian has heard people's criticism of working with Donald Trump and she does not care about it, because she wants to save lives. Last June, the Republican U.S. leader, who is deeply unpopular in her home state of California, commuted the life sentence of Alice Johnsonwho had been serving time in prison since 1996 […]

President Trump’s vitriolic victory lap continued Saturday, with continued attacks on the Mueller report and the media mixed in with another declaration of his innocence. Trump, for a second straight morning, fired up his Twitter feed to lash out at special counsel Robert Mueller and his 22-month investigation into possible Russian collusion during the 2016 presidential campaign. “Despite the fact that the Mueller Report should not have been authorized in the first place & was written as nastily as possible by 13 (18) Angry Democrats who were true Trump Haters, including highly conflicted Bob Mueller himself, the end result is No Collusion, No Obstruction!” read one of his run-on remarks. The online rants were at odds with the initially upbeat White House response to Thursday’s release of the redacted 448-page report. Trump declared “total exoneration” while top aide Kellyanne Conway called it “the best day” for the administration since the January 2017 inauguration. Trump’s tweeting began before the president arrived for a Saturday morning round of golf at his Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Fla., during an Easter weekend stay at his Mar-a-Lago estate. After getting in his shot at Mueller, Trump teed off on the media. “The Fake News Media is doing everything possible to stir up and anger the pols and as many people as possible seldom mentioning the fact that the Mueller Report had as its principle conclusion the fact that there was NO COLLUSION WITH RUSSIA,” he tweeted. “The Russia Hoax is dead!” Trump’s latest remarks came one day after the House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena seeking a copy of Mueller’s unredacted report, along with all of the underlying evidence collected during the lengthy investigation. The Justice Department is pushing back, with Nadler and other Democrats suggesting Attorney General William Barr was protecting Trump. Barr is slated to appeared on May 1 before a Senate committee and May 2 before Nadler’s congressional committee. On Friday, Trump took aim at former and current White House aides who cooperated with the investigation. Some of their statements, he declared, were “fabricated and totally untrue … total bulls–t & only given to make the other person look good (or me look bad).” [related_articles location=”left” show_article_date=”false” article_type=”automatic-primary-tag”] Trump did take some time from his insults and grousing to declare that while Mueller was still bad, his report was very good for the White House. “The end result of the greatest Witch Hunt in U.S. political history is No Collusion with Russia (and No Obstruction),” he tweeted. “Pretty Amazing!” The president followed up four hours by posting a video titled “Mueller Investigation by the Numbers — $30-plus million spent, 28 Angry Democrats, 675 Days, 2,800-plus subpoenas, 500-plus witnesses, 0 collusion, 0 obstruction.” The 18-second clip ends with Trump smiling and raising a glass in victory. ——— ©2019 New York Daily News Visit New York Daily News at www.nydailynews.com Distributed by Tribune Content Agency, LLC.
