THE RAYMOND WEIL FREELANCER CHRONOGRAPH 7731-SC1-20121 SHARES A STRONG FAMILY LIKENESS WITH ITS OLDER SIBLING THE 7740-SC3-65521. HOWEVER, IT CONTAINS AN ALTERNATIVE MOVEMENT, DIFFERENT DIAL LAYOUT AND THE ADDITION OF A DAY DISPLAY. MOST PERTINENTLY, IT IS CHEAPER THAN ITS FOREBEARS. ANGUS DAVIES LOOKS CLOSELY AT THIS RECENT ADDITION TO THE RAYMOND WEIL CATALOGUE. This […]

“What are you going to write about a watch that so many people know?” my wife asks me this week. I told her to count all the articles written about Speedmasters. These are my confessions The Breitling SuperOcean ref 2005 you see here can take a break after 50 years of being ready to sink […]
The Chopard Mille Miglia 2019 Race Edition is easily the coolest looking MM edition of the brand in a good few years – at least for me. Last year Chopard celebrated the 30th year of their partnership with Mille Miglia, a prestigious car race that goes from Brescia to Rome and then back to Brescia […]
It sounds like a PO300 code. What’s the radio code for a 1986 Mercedes Benz 500SEL? The place can you buy a wiring harness for a 1995 c220 Mercedes Benz? How does a dashboard mild for energy steering appear like in Mercedes Benz 190E? Is there a fuse for energy lock on a Mercedes-Benz? The […]
Let’s get closer to what may very well be the superstar among the new Blancpain timepieces, the new Air Command ref AC01-1130-63A, a 42,5mm stainless steel no date aviation chronograph based on the iconic original from 1957.
Oris, for me, is definitely on the right track. They were one of our Baselworld 2019 favorites, and we’ve seen many attractive products coming from Hölstein lately. The novelties we saw in most of their model lines, like the Aquis, Big Crown, and Sixty-Five were all spot-on. Only last week, on May 6th, 2019, a […]
Fortis has announced their first big product launch since an ownership change in September of last year, and it’s perhaps not a surprise at all that the new release places a strong emphasis on brand heritage and a longstanding partnership with a component of the Swiss military. This is a brand that has produced rock […]

Whether it’s the story and history behind these watches or the classic, time-tested designs, there’s something alluring […]
Brellum Pandial Marina 2 Chronometer is the latest watch from the Swiss independent Brellum Watches. They made some serious waves a few years back. The nicest part is that they continue to make waves, season after season, with interesting timepieces. Most important, COSC certified, decently priced. Personally, I do enjoy these watches. The latest piece, […]
You know you did something right when people start to compare your watch to one with a price tag three times as high. Whether it was justified or not to criticize the Breitling Premier chronograph for being a very expensive Hamilton Intra-Matic Auto Chrono (Michael Stockton mentioned it already in his Breitling Premier B01 review […]
Great looking Wittnauer chronograph circa 1960’s powered by Valjoux 724 manual wind movement. A very pleasing tonneau shaped case measuring 41 x 45mm with very faded red and blue Pepsi style 24 hour bezel and acrylic crystal. Great condition original matte black dial with contrasting white registers, perimeter tachometer scale, metallic red lollipop style 24 hour GMT hand, and luminous mercedes hands. With scarce original brick link bracelet with fold over clasp. Excellent condition and great looking vintage model in excellent working condition, but left unpolished as found.

Already shown to the guests of our ORIS x Fratello event on April 26th, […]
