I plan to spend my workdays at my sports club since they have Wi-Fi, someplace nice to work, air conditioning, lots of changes to work out, and it’s far from access to junk food. It’s also around lots of fit people, I pay dues, and I’ll pedal bicycle the 4.6 miles there and the 4.6 miles home. Perfect!

oh yes she did

I will start this by saying that we’re all a whole lot stronger than we think. And when you put yourself out there in a competitive environment, mental toughness allows you go past the edge of what you considered physically possible. It happens without you really even knowing you’re doing it. One second you have […]

Zingst and Darss is mostly national park and entry to parts of the area is very strictly monitored. The Boddans (inland lakes) in the whole area are very shallow, so careful pilotage along narrow channels is imperative, it is worrying when you meet the ferry which makes no allowances for smaller boats! To Finish is to Win

Unlike most of my posts, the one isn’t recapping a race or talking about the build up to an upcoming one. I wanted to write a post to document how I’m feeling right now for me to look back on in the future and just to get my thoughts down. If it helps anyone else, […]

2 Guys and A River

Fly fishing from a drift boat was a bit unnerving. I worried I would snag my friend who was rowing. It turns out that my fear was well-founded. But I didn’t discriminate that day. I snagged myself as well. I also snagged a tree branch on the side of the river. I felt like the […]
