The Filipina Book Junkie

To continue my exploration in Coventry, I found another book shop that also caught my attention. Located in Fargo Village, The Big Comfy Bookshop is literally what its name says; a big comfy book shop with a cafe, lots of chairs, tables and couches. It’s that kind of place that not only you would want […]

Sweet, sweet day it was. All the way from the sidewalk up to my flower beds the lawn was so green. From my Adirondack chair I was enjoying it. I wanted to get out of the chair and roll in the grass, no not just roll I wanted to plunge my face down in the […]

I didn’t have a chance, really. When my mother was pregnant with me, she, along with the majority of the nation, watched a grainy white bronco speed across Interstate 405 in the now infamous OJ Simpson chase. My own interest in whodunits started young. As a kid, I’d creep downstairs and sneak-watch Law and Order […]

Moutons on the Move

I know. I haven’t been consistent in posting lately. I think because life hasn’t been consistent lately. The spring brought visitors and nicer weather so there’s been more to do. I need to do a quick post on our first Easter in Scotland though so that memories of it don’t fade – as they’ve already […]

WheatyPete's World

The rising sun catches the wings of a seagull as it flies along the street at the level of the roof tops.  It is not lost having been blown inland: Totnes lies at the tidal reaches of the Dart river, which joins the sea at Dartmouth, some twelve miles south of here.  Locals here will […]

May 26 (Ephesians 4:29) Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.  (NLT) God spoke the physical universe into existence, and we were created in His image.  It stands to reason, then, that human speech shares in that creative power.  It is true that […]

IT STILL seems like only yesterday that the Harry Potter films were first selling out cinemas. But the stars of the franchise have grown up a lot in the 18 years since the The Philosopher’s Stone – and the three actors who shared the role of a young Voldemort have sure cast a spell on us. The three actors who play young Voldemort are all grown up – and they’re hot The main Dark Lord character has been famously played by Ralph Fiennes since the first film came out almost two decades ago. But three other actors played the villain back when he was a young wizard known as Tom Riddle – and they’re now very hot. Christian Coulson was the first character to play a 16-year-old version of the evil character already getting up to no good in Hogwarts. He was 22 years old when he made a floppy-haired appearance in the Chamber of Secrets. Christian Coulson played Tom Riddle in the Chamber of Secrets These days Christian, now 40, looks as dapper as ever,, and since 2010 he has lived in New York working as an actor and director. The next actor to play the character was Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, the real life nephew of Ralph. He played the creepy eleven-year-old in the Half-Blood Prince back when he was living in an orphanage and had yet to experience the wizarding world. Hero, now 21, has continued to act and recently made use of his handsome looks in new film After. Hero Ralph-Fiennes played the mean character as an 11-year-old He is the nephew of Ralph Fiennes, who plays Voldemort as an evil adult Finally, the third young Voldemort star is Frank Dillane, who is also still an actor – notably in Fear The Walking Dead. The actor appeared at a later stage of the Half-Blood Prince as the 16-year-old baddie and also returned in the Deathly Hallows. Frank Dillane took on the role in the Half-Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows The actor says he’ll never be able to leave the Potter role behind “whatever I do” Frank has grown up into a heart-throb but has revealed he will never forget his roots. The star – whose dad plays Stannis Baratheon in Game Of Thrones – told Radio Times in 2016: “It’s funny. Whatever I do, I’ll always be remembered for Tom Riddle! “It was great to play such an incredible part, but it was a very short scene. I wasn’t in the film for that long.” Ralph played the main part [article-rail-section title=”MOST READ IN FABULOUS” posts_category=”363″ posts_number=”6″ query_type=”popular” /] Last year, we revealed how you can pledge your allegiance to a Hogwart’s house with £4 Harry Potter cushions from Primark. “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2 (KJV) Angels, those wonderful spiritual beings who perform God’s will, appear everywhere in the Bible.  Sometimes these angels have taken human form.  So if it was possible for angels to walk among us then wouldn’t it seem fair to assume that […]
